Free probability and the von Neumann algebrasof free groups

This short note summarizes the circumstances of the birth of free probability theory andsome of the recent achievements.     

处理原子-辐射场相互作用系统的变分方法

用Heisenberg-Weyl(简H-W)群直积SU(2)群上的相干态表述了原子-辐射场相互作用系统的非平衡态统计力学.引入一个新定义的含时分布函数,将非平衡态下密度矩阵所满足的von Neumann方程转化成可分离变量的偏微分方程,给出了方程的形式解,算符的平均值表示.本文还就便于作微扰展开的相互作用绘景作了讨论.     

Interpolation of positive operators

We study problems of interpolation of positive linear operators in couples of ordered Banach spaces. From this viewpoint, we study couples of noncommutative spaces L ₁, L _∞ associated with weights and traces on von Neumann algebras.     

Level shift operators for open quantum systems

Level shift operators describe the second-order displacement of eigenvalues under perturbation. They play a central role in resonance theory and ergodic theory of open quantum systems at positive temperatures. We exhibit intrinsic properties of level shift operators, properties which stem from the structure of open quantum systems at positive temperatures and which are common to all such systems. They determine the geometry of resonances bifurcating from eigenvalues of positive temperature Hamiltonians and they relate the Gibbs state, the kernel of level shift operators, and zero energy resonances. We show that degeneracy of energy levels of the small part of the open quantum system causes the Fermi Golden Rule Condition to be violated and we analyze ergodic properties of such systems.     

压缩真空场与原子非线性作用过程中的纠缠与消纠缠

用Von Neumann熵研究了附加克尔介质的压缩真空场与二能级原子依赖强度耦合相互作用量子体系的量子纠缠特性.讨论了初始压缩真空场的压缩度以及克尔非线性作用的强度对该量子体系纠缠特性的影响.结果表明，克尔介质的非线性作用的强弱可以改变体系量子纠缠的周期性；在初始压缩度较大（r=5）时，克尔介质的非线性作用可导致原子与场持续地处于最大纠缠态，无消纠缠态或持续地处于消纠缠态. 关键词： 压缩真空态 克尔介质 依赖强度耦合J-C模型 Von Neumann熵 量子纠缠     

States and Structure of von Neumann Algebras

We summarize and deepen recent results on the interplay between properties of states and the structure of von Neumann algebras. We treat Jauch–Piron states and the concept of independence in noncommutative probability theory.

本文给出因子von Neumann代数中的幂等算子在广义Lie积下的一个刻画; 得到因子von Neumann代数中套子代数的幂等算子在Lie积下的一个特征．作为应用, 研究了因子von Neumann代数中套子代数上的Lie同构,并证明因子von Neumann 代数中套子代数之间的Lie同构,要么是同构与广义迹之和,要么是负反同构与广义迹之和．     

Optimale Quantisierung

Zusammenfassung. Optimale Quantisierungen oder – damit ?quivalent – minimale Summen von Momenten spielen in mehreren Zweigen der Mathematik und ihrer Anwendungen eine Rolle. Ausgehend von der Fejes Tóth'schen Ungleichung für Summen von Momenten in der euklidischen Ebene und einem zugeh?rigen Stabilit?tssatz, werden gewisse Erweiterungen auf normierte R?ume und riemannsche Mannigfaltigkeiten h?herer Dimension besprochen. Die Ergebnisse werden dann auf Probleme aus folgenden Bereichen angewendet: (i) Datenübertragung, (ii) Wahrscheinlichkeitstheorie, (iii) numerische Integration, (iv) Approximation konvexer K?rper und (v) isoperimetrische Probleme.
