We investigated the dynamic compressibility of a piezoceramic composed of lead zirconatetitanate (LCT) and its depolarization by shock waves over the pressure range 100–500 kbar. We also observed the changes that persisted in the specimens after brief compression at pressures of 350 and 500 kbar. The dependence of the piezocurrent on time was used to calculate the dielectric permeability and conductivity of the ceramic beyond the shock-wave front over the pressure range investigated. The problem of the three-dimensional incompressible turbulent boundary layer developing ahead of a circular cylinder mounted at right angles on a flat plate is considered. The direction of the uniform approach stream is normal to the leading edge of the plate. The turbulence is simulated by means of five different isotropic algebraic models of eddy viscosity. The boundary layer equations are solved numerically by means of a second-order-accurate implicit finite-difference method. The problem of the laminar boundary layer formed on the surface of a semiinfinite plate with a perpendicular semi-infinite circular cylinder in a uniform steady incompressible flow normal to the leading edge is considered. Near its sharp edge the plate has a stationary part and, located at a finite distance further downstream, a part of the surface moving downstream at a constant velocity. The first-order boundary layer equations are solved numerically by an implicit finite-difference method. The effect of the moving wall on the variation of the dimensions of the separation zone ahead of the obstacle over a broad range of the governing parameters and flow characteristics is investigated. The flow in the laminar boundary layer on the surface of a plate ahead of such an obstacle was calculated in [1, 2] without motion of the wall. Possible equilibrium configurations of the free surface of a conducting liquid deformed by a nonuniform external electric field are investigated. The liquid rests on an electrode that has the shape of a dihedral angle formed by two intersecting equipotential half-planes (conducting wedge). It is assumed that the problem has plane symmetry: the surface is invariant under shift along the edge of the dihedral angle. A one-parametric family of exact solutions for the shape of the surface is found in which the opening angle of the region above the wedge serves as a parameter. The solutions are valid when the pressure difference between the inside and outside of the liquid is zero. For an arbitrary pressure difference, approximate solutions to the problem are constructed and it is demonstrated the approximation error is small. It is found that, when the potential difference exceeds a certain threshold value, equilibrium solutions are absent. In this case, the region occupied by the liquid disintegrates, the disintegration scenario depending on the opening angle.  相似文献

Processes undergoing in Sc/Si multilayer X-ray mirrors (MXMs) with periods of ∼27 nm and barrier layers of CrB20.3- and 0.7-nm thick within the temperature range of 420–780 K were studied by methods of small-angle X-ray reflectivity (λ=0.154 nm) and cross-sectional transmission electron microscopy. All layers with the exception of Sc ones are amorphous. Barrier layers are stable at least up to a temperature of 625 K and double the activation energy of diffusional intermixing at moderate temperatures. Introduction of barriers improves the thermal stability of Sc/Si MXMs at least by 80 degrees. Diffusion of Si atoms through barrier layers into Sc layers with formation of silicides was shown to be the main degradation mechanism of MXMs. A comparison of the stability for Sc/Si MXMs with different barriers published in the literature is conducted. The ways of further improvement of barrier properties are discussed.  相似文献

Database search is the most popular approach used for the identification of peptides in contemporary shotgun proteomics; it utilizes only mass spectrometric data. In this work, we introduce three criteria for the verification of peptide identification; these are based on the analysis of data orthogonal to tandem mass spectra. The first one utilizes chromatographic retention times of peptides. The development of such approaches has been hindered by the relatively low accuracy of retention time prediction algorithms. In this work, we suggest the use of two independent models of the liquid chromatography of peptides, which increase the reliability of the results. The second criterion utilizes the mean number of missed tryptic cleavages per peptide. The third one results from the analysis of the difference between theoretical and experimentally measured peptide masses. The proposed criteria were applied to the tandem mass spectra of tryptic peptides from rat kidney tissue, which were processed by the Mascot search engine. All the criteria showed that Mascot significantly overestimated the reliability of an identification. This conclusion was supported by the PeptideProphet algorithm.  相似文献

Analysis of large (>10,000 entries) databases consisting of high-resolution tandem mass spectra of peptide dications revealed with high statistical significance (P?<?1?10–3) that peptides with non-identical first two N-terminal amino acids undergo cleavages of the second peptide bond at higher rates than repetitive sequences composed of the same amino acids (i.e., in general AB- and BA- bonds cleave more often than AA- and BB- bonds). This effect seems to depend upon the collisional energy, being stronger at lower energies. The phenomenon is likely to indicate the presence of the diketopiperazine structure for at least some b2 + ions. When consisting of two identical amino acids, these species should form through intermediates that have a symmetric geometry and, thus, must be subject to the Jahn-Teller effect that reduces the stability of such systems.

The effect of chain structures on particle diffusion in nanodisperse ferrofluids subjected to external magnetic fields is studied. It is shown that the chain formation imparts very strong anisotropy to the diffusion properties of ferrofluids: the diffusion coefficient along a field appears to be approximately two orders of magnitude higher than that in the transverse direction. The presence of the chains changes the particle magnetophoresis coefficient significantly.  相似文献
