We present results of calculations and experiments on electron–hole complexes in InGaAs/GaAs self-assembled quantum dots in high magnetic field (B). Due to hidden symmetries, the chemical potential of an N-exciton system at special B fields becomes insensitive to the exciton number as well as the magnetic field. This results in plateau regions of high intensity in measured magneto-PL spectrum. Theoretical calculations using exact diagonalization techniques successfully explain the measured magneto-photoluminescence spectrum with B fields up to 28 T.  相似文献

Experimental results and calculated data on the study of the temperature dependence of the lasing efficiency of the pulsed three-micrometer YAG:Er3+ laser in the range T = ?80 ? +80°C are presented. It was shown that a decrease in the laser crystal temperature from room temperature to T = ?80°C leads to an increase in the laser output energy by a factor of 3?4 at the same energy of lamp pumping. Accordingly, the differential lasing efficiency increases (about three times).  相似文献

Electromagnetic form factors of a massive neutrino are studied in a minimally extended standard model in an arbitrary Rξ gauge and taking into account the dependence on the masses of all interacting particles. The contribution from all Feynman diagrams to the electric, magnetic, and anapole form factors, in which the dependence of the masses of all particles as well as on gauge parameters is accounted for exactly, are obtained for the first time in explicit form. The asymptotic behavior of the magnetic form factor for large negative squares of the momentum of an external photon is analyzed and the expression for the anapole moment of a massive neutrino is derived. The results are generalized to the case of mixing between various flavors of the neutrino. Explicit expressions are obtained for the electric, magnetic, and electric dipole and anapole transitional form factors as well as for the transitional electric dipole moment.  相似文献

There is currently a large effort to explore spin-orbit effects in semiconductor structures with the ultimate goal of manipulating electron spins with gates. A search for materials with large spin-orbit coupling is therefore important. We report results of a study of spin-orbit effects in a strained InGaAs/InP quantum well. The spin-orbit relaxation time, determined from the weak antilocalization effect, was found to depend nonmonotonically on gate voltage. The spin-orbit scattering rate had a maximum value of 5×1010 s?1 at an electron density of n=3×1015 m?2. The scattering rate decreased from this for both increasing and decreasing densities. The smallest measured value was approximately 109 s?1 at an electron concentration of n=6×1015 m?2. This behavior could not be explained by either the Rashba or the bulk Dresselhaus mechanisms but is attributed to asymmetry or strain effects at dissimilar quantum well interfaces.  相似文献

The relativistic theory of the inverse beta-decay of polarized neutron,ν e +n → > p +e -, in strong magnetic field is developed. For the proton wave function we use the exact solution of the Dirac equation in the magnetic filed that enables us to account exactly for effects of the proton momentum quantization in the magnetic field and also for the proton recoil motion. The effect of nucleons anomalous magnetic moments in strong magnetic fields is also discussed. We examine the cross-section for different energies and directions of propagation of the initial neutrino accounting for neutron polarization. It is shown that in the super-strong magnetic field the totally polarized neutron matter is transparent for neutrinos propagating antiparallel to the direction of polarization. The developed relativistic approach can be used for calculations of cross-sections of the other URCA processes in strong magnetic fields.  相似文献

The main goal of the paper is to give a short review on neutrino electromagnetic properties. In the introductory part of the paper a summary on what we really know about neutrinos is given: we discuss the basics of neutrino mass and mixing as well as the phenomenology of neutrino oscillations. This is important for the following discussion on neutrino electromagnetic properties that starts with a derivation of the neutrino electromagnetic vertex function in the most general form, that follows from the requirement of Lorentz invariance, for both the Dirac and Majorana cases. Then, the problem of the neutrino form factor definition and calculation within gauge models is considered. In particular, we discuss the neutrino electric charge form factor and charge radius, dipole magnetic and electric and anapole form factors. Available experimental constraints on neutrino electromagnetic properties are also discussed, and the recently obtained experimental limits on neutrino magnetic moments are reviewed. The most important neutrino electromagnetic processes involving a direct neutrino coupling with photons (such as neutrino radiative decay, neutrino Cherenkov radiation, spin light of neutrino and plasmon decay into neutrino-antineutrino pair in media) and neutrino resonant spin-flavor precession in a magnetic field are discussed at the end of the paper.  相似文献

The effects of the ambient atmospheric pressure, thermoevacuation treatment, and mechanoactivation on the combustion of the 5Ti + 3Si system is studied. It is demonstrated that the burning velocity and elongation of the samples during combustion do not depend on the argon pressure in the case of the 5Ti + 3Si system, which is fundamentally different from the behavior of the previously studied Ni + Al and Ti + 0.5C systems. After thermoevacuation of the initial mixture, its burning velocity increases significantly (twofold), whereas the increase in the sample length during combustion reverses to contraction. This result can be used to optimize the production of composite targets for the deposition of multifunctional coatings by means of the forced compaction technology in self-propagating high-temperature synthesis, in particular, to obtain a better homogeneity of the products under quasi-static compression conditions.  相似文献

The history of the development of the theory of neutrino-flavor and neutrino-spin oscillations in electromagnetic fields and in a medium is briefly surveyed. A new Lorentz-invariant approach to describing neutrino oscillations in a medium is formulated in such a way that it makes it possible to consider the motion of a medium at an arbitrary velocity, including relativistic ones. This approach permits studying neutrinospin oscillations under the effect of an arbitrary external electromagnetic field. In particular, it is predicted that, in the field of an electromagnetic wave, new resonances may exist in neutrino oscillations. In the case of spin oscillations in various electromagnetic fields, the concept of a critical magnetic-field-component strength is introduced above which the oscillations become sizable. In considering neutrino oscillations in moving matter, it is shown within the Lorentz-invariant formalism that the relativistic motion of matter significantly affects the character of neutrino oscillations and can radically change the conditions under which the oscillations are resonantly enhanced. Possible new effects in neutrino oscillations are discussed for the case of neutrino propagation in relativistic fluxes of matter.  相似文献
