The effect of physical aging on the mechanics of amorphous solids as well as mechanical rejuvenation is modeled with nonequilibrium thermodynamics, using the concept of two thermal subsystems, namely a kinetic one and a configurational one. Earlier work (Semkiv and Hütter in J Non-Equilib Thermodyn 41(2):79–88, 2016) is extended to account for a fully general coupling of the two thermal subsystems. This coupling gives rise to hypoelastic-type contributions in the expression for the Cauchy stress tensor, that reduces to the more common hyperelastic case for sufficiently long aging. The general model, particularly the reversible and irreversible couplings between the thermal subsystems, is compared in detail with models in the literature (Boyce et al. in Mech Mater 7:15–33, 1988; Buckley et al. in J Mech Phys Solids 52:2355–2377, 2004; Klompen et al. in Macromolecules 38:6997–7008, 2005; Kamrin and Bouchbinder in J Mech Phys Solids 73:269–288 2014; Xiao and Nguyen in J Mech Phys Solids 82:62–81, 2015). It is found that only for the case of Kamrin and Bouchbinder (J Mech Phys Solids 73:269–288, 2014) there is a nontrivial coupling between the thermal subsystems in the reversible dynamics, for which the Jacobi identity is automatically satisfied. Moreover, in their work as well as in Boyce et al. (Mech Mater 7:15–33, 1988), viscoplastic deformation is driven by the deviatoric part of the Cauchy stress tensor, while for Buckley et al. (J Mech Phys Solids 52:2355–2377, 2004) and Xiao and Nguyen (J Mech Phys Solids 82:62–81, 2015) this is not the case.  相似文献

The Ag8SnSe6 argyrodite compound was synthesized by the direct melting of the elementary Ag, Sn and Se high purity grade stoichiometric mixture in a sealed silica ampoule. The prepared polycrystalline material was characterized by the X-ray diffraction (XRD), visible (VIS) and near-infrared (NIR) reflection and photoluminescence (PL) spectroscopy. XRD showed that the Ag8SnSe6 crystallizes in orthorhombic structure, Pmn21 space group with lattice parameters: а = 7.89052(6) Å, b = 7.78976(6) Å, c = 11.02717(8) Å. Photoluminescence spectra of the Ag8SnSe6 polycrystalline wafer show two bands at 1675 nm and 1460 nm. Absorption edge position estimated from optical reflectance spectra is located in the 1413–1540 nm wavelength range.  相似文献

We consider measurements of exclusive rare semi-tauonic b-hadron decays, mediated by the \(b \rightarrow s \tau ^+ \tau ^-\) transition, at a future high-energy circular electron–positron collider (FCC-ee). We argue that the high boosts of b-hadrons originating from on-shell Z boson decays allow for a full reconstruction of the decay kinematics in hadronic \(\tau \) decay modes (up to discrete ambiguities). This, together with the potentially large statistics of \(Z\rightarrow b\bar{b}\), opens the door for the experimental determination of \(\tau \) polarizations in these rare b-hadron decays. In the light of the current experimental situation on lepton flavor universality in rare semileptonic B decays, we discuss the complementary short-distance physics information carried by the \(\tau \) polarizations and suggest suitable theoretically clean observables in the form of single- and double-\(\tau \) polarization asymmetries.  相似文献
