The operation of a source of charged aerosol particles which consists of a supersonic nozzle, a corona-forming needle-shaped electrode, and a device for injecting liquid droplets into a gas flow is considered. A theoretical model for two-dimensional, two-phase flow in the nozzle is considered. An algorithm of numerical calculation of such a flow is developed, and results of calculations of the electric transport current from the nozzle are given. The problem of an electric probe in the shape of a sphere in a weakly ionized three-component plasma at rest is studied. It is assumed that the probe diameter is appreciably larger than the mean free path of the charged particles and that the temperature of the probe surface differs from the temperature of the undisturbed plasma. The contribution of thermal-diffusion mass transport is taken into account in the expressions for the densities of the electric currents of the components. A new numerical method is developed to obtain a solution of the problem in a wide range of the determining parameters. The current-voltage characteristics are constructed. Electrification in boundary domains of flows of partially ionized multicomponent gas mixtures through channels whose conducting walls are exposed to a constant potential is studied. In such media, in the absence of applied electric fields, electrification is due to significantly different values of mobility of charged particles of opposite signs. The influence of the interaction of electrons and gas ions with the walls of the channel on the value of the space electric charge, the thickness and structure of the charged boundary layer and the value of the convective electric current is analyzed.  相似文献

Conclusions The temperature dependence of the resistivity of cerium and lanthanum has been measured. The resistivity has been shown to decrease with increasing purity. The Fermi energy, density of average kinetic energy, and average density of kinetic energy of the transverse finite motion of an electron gas of a specified concentration are calculated taking into account Landau diamagnetism and Pauli paramagnetism. The kinetic energy of a longitudinal continuous electron motion along the direction of the external magnetic field H is estimated. It is shown that the kinetic energy of the longitudinal continuous motion vanishes with increase in the external magnetic field strength in the quantum limit where the maximum Landau quantum number N m = 0. For N m > 0, the longitudinal kinetic energy component of a degenerate electron gas somewhat increases with magnetic field strength. The cause of the erroneous result is discussed.  相似文献

Probe measurements in a chemically reacting plasma provide information about certain parameters of the medium, for example, the effective ionization rate [1, 2]. At atmospheric pressure in a low-temperature plasma containing electronegative components with significant electron affinity (of the order of or greater than 1.5 eV) considerable negative ion concentrating may occur. The effect of the negative ions on the volt-ampere characteristic (VAC) of the probe when the chemical reactions in the plasma are assumed to be frozen was investigated in [3, 4]. Here, the VAC is obtained for negative probe potentials with allowance for ionization and electron attachment reactions whose characteristic lengths are of the order of the dimensions of the region disturbed by the probe.
