Silver nanoparticles loaded into shell of poly (styrene-N-isopropylmethacrylamide-co-acrylic acid) core shell [P (SNA-CS)] gel particles were synthesized and analyzed by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), transmission electron microscopy (TEM), ultraviolet–visible spectroscopy (UV–vis) and dynamic light scattering (DLS). Catalytic activity of Ag@P (SNA-CS) particles was investigated by reducing p-nitroaniline (p-NA) into p-aminoaniline (p-AA) in the presence of sodium borohydride (NaBH4) reductant. Molecules of the substrate adsorbed on the surface of silver nanoparticles interact with borohydride ions (BH4) to form p-AA. Other nitroarenes like o-nitroaniline (o-NA), p-nitrophenol (p-NP) o-nitrophenol (o-NP), 2,4-dinitrophenol(2,4-DNP) were also reduced into their corresponding aryl amines using Ag@P (SNA-CS) composite microgels as catalyst. Reported catalyst efficiently reduced the nitro aromatic compounds individually as well as simultaneously at ambient temperature. Effect of different reaction conditions (catalyst dose, concentration of NaBH4 and concentration of p-NA) on reaction completion time, value of apparent rate constant (kapp) and reduction efficiency of the catalyst for reduction of p-NA was also demonstrated. Ag@P (SNA-CS) catalyst was found to be able to retain activity up to four cycles.  相似文献

Transparent inorganic‐polymer nanocomposite films are of tremendous current interest inemerging solar coverings including photovoltaic encapsulants and commercial greenhouse plastics, but suffer from significant radiative heat loss. This work provides a new and simple approach for controlling this heat loss by using mesoporous silica/quantum dot nanoparticles in poly(ethylene‐co‐vinyl acetate) (EVA) films. Mesoporous silica shells were grown on CdS‐ZnS quantum dot (QDs) cores using a reverse microemulsion technique, controlling the shell thickness. These mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) were then melt‐mixed with EVA pellets using a mini twin‐screw extruder and pressed into thin films of concentration variable controlled thickness. The results demonstrate that the experimental MSNs showed improved infrared and thermal wavebands retention in the EVA transparent films compared to commercial silica additives, even at lower concentrations. It was also found MSNs enhanced the quantum yield and photostability of the QDs, providing high visible light transmission and blocking of UV transmission of interest for next generation solar coatings. © 2015 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Thirteen new benzimidazole pendant cyanopyrimidine derivatives were synthesized. The compounds were synthesized through multistep reaction protocol. The structures of synthesized derivatives were studied by EI-MS, 1H NMR, FT-IR and elemental analysis. All the compounds were studied for their anticancer activity at National Cancer Institute. Except compound 7j , all the compounds unveiled cytotoxicity against cancer cells. The most active compound 7a had shown highest value of growth inhibition of 88.44% and 84.19% against HOP-92 and T-47D cancer cell lines.  相似文献

An innovative strategy is proposed to synthesize single-crystal nanowires (NWs) of the Al3+ dicarboxylate MIL-69(Al) MOF by using graphene oxide nanoscrolls as structure-directing agents. MIL-69(Al) NWs with an average diameter of 70±20 nm and lengths up to 2 μm were found to preferentially grow along the [001] crystallographic direction. Advanced characterization methods (electron diffraction, TEM, STEM-HAADF, SEM, XPS) and molecular modeling revealed the mechanism of formation of MIL-69(Al) NWs involving size-confinement and templating effects. The formation of MIL-69(Al) seeds and the self-scroll of GO sheets followed by the anisotropic growth of MIL-69(Al) crystals are mediated by specific GO sheets/MOF interactions. This study delivers an unprecedented approach to control the design of 1D MOF nanostructures and superstructures.  相似文献

Sn(IV)Cl4 catalyst provided a rapid and efficient deprotection method for the phenolic THP and MOM ethers and sequel intramolecular Friedel–Crafts alkylation reaction of THP and MOM protected chalcone epoxides under mild conditions. The reaction took 2–3 min to give the products in excellent yield (90–98%) at 0 °C without affecting the other functional groups.  相似文献
