New critical dimensions forq-deformed bosonic string

Aq-deformed left-right symmetric model

A newq-deformed Left-Right Symmetric model is constructed and the various mass relations and mixing angles are derived. It is shown that the model allows for parity violation, and predicts a new Z’ gauge boson.     

Theq-deformed virasoro algebra

Theq-deformed Virasoro algebra is studied in the context of the string theory. It is shown that the anomaly term is not ac-number and depends strongly on the deformation parameterq. Multiple Unbounded Positive Solutions for Three-Point BVPs with Sign-Changing Nonlinearities on the Positive Half-Line

This work is concerned with the existence of unbounded positive solutions for a second-order nonlinear three-point boundary value problem on the positive half-line. The interesting points of the results are that the nonlinearity depends on the solution and its derivative and may change sign. Moreover, it satisfies general polynomial growth conditions. New existence results of nontrivial single and multiple positive solutions are proved using recent fixed point theorems on cones in a special Banach space.     

Modified Virasoro and super-Virasoro algebra

Applying the paraquantization of order Q to an open bosonic and spining strings, modified Virasoro and super-Virasoro algebra are obtained. It is shown that the anomaly c-number term is a linear function of Q.     

Existence Results for Singular Boundary Value Problems on Unbounded Domains in Banach Spaces

In this paper, the Krasnosels’kii fixed point theorem in cones for strict set-contractions is used to investigate the existence of single and twin positive solutions for a class of a two-point boundary value problem of second-order nonlinear differential equations posed on an infinite interval. The nonlinearity, which may have a time-singularity, takes values in a general Banach space and has at most polynomial growth with respect to the unknown.     

Structure and electrical properties of a-C∶H films deposited from CH4 decomposition in a low frequency discharge

a-C∶H films have been deposited from methane in a 20 KHz discharge. The Current Voltage characteristics of the plasma have been plotted as a function of the CH₄ pressure. It was shown that below 0.1 mbar the graphitic content in the films estimated from Raman Spectroscopy and Electron Energy Loss Spectroscopy is high enough to give electrical conductivity controlled by a percolation mechanism. It was also found that the a:c electrical responses of the deposited films are more sensitive to the structure than any other chemical analysis. The electrical analysis might be a good tool for structural investigations on a-C∶H films.     

What if the Higgs mass violates unitarity?

A model for a super heavy Higgs based on a non-perturbative method is discussed. It is shown that the dispersion relations approach gives new insights for the strong interactions effects and a way to derive a new unitarity bound.
