Ultrasonic treatment is widely used for surface cleaning during physical, chemical and physico-chemical processes in mineral processing. Several research papers and a few industrial applications about the subject suggest that the mechanism behind the positive effect of ultrasound for mineral processing and especially flotation is due to formation of cavitation by ultrasonic energy. Within this study, coal floatability is investigated by use of a specially designed flotation cell equipped with ultrasound transducers with different power, frequency and geometry. The results indicate that ultrasonic treatment during coal flotation positively affects the quality and quantity of the properties of floated coals while using of lesser amounts of reagent than a conventional flotation system.  相似文献

Hydrodistilled volatile oil from the aerial parts of Achillea cretica L. (Asteraceae) was analysed by a combination of GC and GC/MS. Seventy-six components were identified, constituting 86.4% of the oil. The main constituents of the essential oil were caryophylladienol-II (13.4%), β-maaliene (6.1%), neo-intermedeol (6.0%), carvone (4.9%), spathulenol (4.5%), palmitic acid (3.3%) and selina-3,11-dien-6α-ol (3.2%). The antimicrobial activity was evaluated by the broth-dilution method on nine microbial strains and showed to be quite strong against the Gram-positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus cereus. The antibacterial properties of A. cretica justify its use in traditional medicine for the treatment of wounds, contaminated through bacterial infections.  相似文献

This study demonstrates the adsorption experiments of toxic dyes malachite green (MG) and Rhodamine B (RB) on Fe3O4-loaded activated carbon (AC). AC, which is known to be a high-capacity adsorbent, was aimed to be easily separated from aqueous media by loading it with Fe3O4. Fe3O4-loaded AC was prepared by the coprecipitation method and named magnetic activated carbon (M-AC), and the produced M-AC was characterized by x-ray diffraction (XRD), thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), and pHpzc analyses. MG and RB adsorption by the M-AC was performed separately by batch technique and the effects of adsorbent amount, solution pH, and initial dye concentration on the adsorption were explored. Maximum removal efficiencies were found to be 96.11% for MG and 98.54% for RB, and the Langmuir isotherm model was the most fitted isotherm model for the adsorption. The kinetic and thermodynamic studies showed that the adsorption proceeded via the pseudo-second-order kinetic model and endothermic in-nature for both dyes.  相似文献

Aminoacyl adenylate pentacoordinated phosphorus compounds were analyzed by field desorption (FD) and fast atom bombardment (FAB) mass spectrometries, together with the B/E linked scan technique, and their mass spectral fragmentation pathways were investigated. For the five bonds (one P-N bond, three P-O bonds and one mixed anhydride bond P-O-CO), the cleavage usually occurred more on the P-N bond, the mixed anhydride bond and the O-C bond adjacent to the P-O bond, and less on the P-O bond. Ion YH(+), corresponding to water loss from protonated 2',3'-O-isopropylidene-adenosine, was the base peak. The results reflect the structural characteristics of aminoacyl adenylate pentacoordinated phosphorus compounds. Copyright 1999 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
