This study focuses on the preparation, characterization, and optical properties of new bis(3,4‐diphenylethynylphenyl)phenylamine. This is the first nitrogen‐containing bis‐ortho‐diynylarene (BODA) monomer having a nitrogen atom as the spacer group. BODA monomers are usually prepared from common bisphenols, thereby providing great synthetic versatility and the opportunity to develop a wide array of novel polyarylene thermosets by varying the aromatic spacer group. The new bis(3,4‐bisphenylethynylphenyl)phenylamine was synthesized in five steps. This compound emits an intense blue color (λ = 438 nm) upon irradiation by UV light and may be suitable for use as an emitting layer in electroluminescent devices. Bis‐(3,4‐bisphenylethynylphenyl)phenylamine and its polymer have photoluminescence quantum yields 34 and 38%, respectively, and long excited‐state lifetimes of 3.2 and 3.6 ns, respectively. The structure of the monomer and its polymer were characterized using spectroscopic techniques including Ultraviolet–visible Spectrophotometer, Photoluminescence Spectrophotometer, Fourier Transform infrared spectroscopy, and Gel Permeation Chromatography. The polymerizations were studied by Differential Scanning Calorimeter. The amount of weight loss and the thermostability of the nitrogen‐containing polymer were determined from thermogravimetric analysis. The electrical conductivity of neat HCl‐doped BODA‐derived polymer film was measured according to the standard four‐point probe technique. © 2006 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Poly(glycidyl methacrylate-ethyleneglycol dimethacrylate), p(GA–EGMA), microbeads were prepared through suspension polymerization. It was decorated with polyethylene imine (PEIM) and tris(2-aminoethyl)amine (TAEA) ligands to decorate with polyamine groups. These microbeads were used for sorption of uranium ions from aqueous solution. The maximum sorption of uranium ions on the PEIM and TAEA modified microbeads was observed at pH 6.0. The maximum sorption capacity of acid hydrolyzed p(GA–EGMA)–OH, p(GA–EGMA)–PEIM and p(GA–EGMA)–TAEA microbeads was found to be 7.21, 87.8 and 64.3 mg g?1. The sorption process conforms to the pseudo-second order kinetic model and the Langmuir and Temkin isotherm models well. 相似文献

Laccase from Trametes versicolar was immobilized on to acrylate based microbeads carrying epoxy or carbonate groups. The amounts of immobilized enzyme on the carbonate and epoxy groups were 24.6 and 9.7?mg/g, respectively. In the presence of a mediator (i.e., acetosyringone) almost 100% biodegradation was observed for both Methylene Blue dye (MB) and Carbaryl pesticide (CP) by the immobilized laccases, while in the absence of mediator, 63 and 71%, respectively. The immobilized enzyme was operated in a fluidized bed reactor for biodegradation of MB and CP for 24?h, and the initial activity lost was only 8.0 and 2.0%, respectively. The data show that the immobilized enzyme can effectively be utilized for complete degradation of organic pollutants in wastewaters. 相似文献

The crystal structure of the ζ2‐phase Al3Cu4‐δ was determined by means of X‐ray powder diffraction: a = 409.72(1) pm, b = 703.13(2) pm, c = 997.93(3) pm, space group Imm2, Pearson symbol oI24‐3.5, RI = 0.0696. ζ2‐Al3Cu4‐δ forms a distinctive a × √3a × 2c superstructure of a metal deficient Ni2In‐type‐related structure. The phase is meta‐stable at ambient temperature. Between 400 °C and 450 °C it decomposes into ζ1‐Al3Cu4 and η2‐AlCu. Entropic contributions to the stability of ζ2‐Al3Cu4‐δ are reflected in three statistically or partially occupied sites. 相似文献

Crystals of La2Pb(SiS4)2, dilanthanum(III) lead(II) bis[tetrasulfidosilicate(IV)], were obtained from the La–Pb–Si–S system and structurally characterized using X‐ray single‐crystal diffraction. The La and Pb atoms are coordinated in bicapped trigonal prisms of S atoms, with the Si atoms in tetrahedra. An occupational disorder of the La and Pb centres was refined for one position in the structure. The bicapped trigonal prisms and tetrahedra share edges. A gap located 2.629 (1) Å from the sulfide anions was found around the coordination polyhedra, which makes La2Pb(SiS4)2 a prospective material in crystal engineering. The Si and one S atom lie on a threefold axis. 相似文献

Prolonged exposure to X-rays of HAuCl(4) deposited from an aqueous solution onto a SiO(2)/Si substrate or into a poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) matrix induces reduction of the Au(3+) ions to Au(0) and subsequent nucleation to gold nanoclusters as recorded by X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy. The corresponding major oxidation product is determined as chlorine {HAuCl(4)(ads) + X-rays --> Au(ads) + (3/2)Cl(2)(ads) + HCl(ads)}, which is initially adsorbed onto the surface but eventually diffuses out of the system into the vacuum. The reduced gold atoms aggregate (three-dimensionally) into gold nanoclusters as evidenced by the variation in the binding energy during X-ray exposure, which starts as 1.3 eV but approaches a value that is 0.5 eV higher than that of the bulk gold. The disappearance of the oxidation product (Cl2p signal) and the growth of the nanoclusters (related to the measured binding energy difference between the Si2p of the oxide and Au4f of the reduced gold) exhibit first-order kinetics which is approximately 3 times slower than the reduction of Au(3+), indicating that both of the former processes are diffusion controlled. Similarly, gold ions incorporated into PMMA can also be reduced and aggregated to gold nanoclusters using 254 nm deep UV irradiation in air evidenced by UV-vis-NIR absorption spectrocopy. 相似文献

Raman spectroscopy involves the interaction of light with the molecular vibrations and therefore can provide information about molecular structure, tissue composition and changes in its environment. We explored whether Raman spectroscopy can reliably distinguish mammary tumors from normal mammary tissues and other pathological states in mice. We analyzed a large number of Raman spectra from the tumor and normal mammary glands of mice injected with 4T1 tumor cells, which were collected using a high‐resolution (less than 4 cm−1) Raman spectrometer at a fixed (785 nm) laser excitation wavelength and with 60 mW of laser power. The spectra of normal and tumor mammary glands showed consistent differences in the intensity of certain Raman bands and loss of some bands in the tumor spectra. Multivariate statistical methods—principal component analysis (PCA) and discriminant functional analysis (DFA)—were used to separate the data into different groups of mammary tumors, mastitis, lymph nodes contralateral and tumor‐cell‐injected sides, and normal contralateral and tumor‐cell‐injected sides. We demonstrate that this spectroscopic technique has the feasibility of discriminating tumor and mastitis from normal tissues and other pathological states in a short period of time and may detect tumor transformation earlier than the standard histological examination stage.
