The effective equation of motion for describing the alternation of monomers of different sorts along a heteropolymer chain is proposed. This equation is used for constructing a self-consistent supersymmetric scheme that makes it possible to derive equations for the structure factor and the Green function. The effects of memory and ergodicity loss are studied as functions of the temperature and the intensity of the frozen disorder in the alternation of monomers. The phase diagram that determines the existence domains of nonergodic and frozen states is constructed.  相似文献

We present an approximate analytical theory and direct numerical computation of defect modes of a Bose-Einstein condensate loaded in an optical lattice and subject to an additional localized (defect) potential. Some of the modes are found to be remarkably stable and can be driven along the lattice by means of a defect moving following a steplike function defined by the period of Josephson oscillations and the macroscopic stability of the atoms.  相似文献

We investigate, both analytically and numerically, the conditions for the occurrence of the delocalizing transition phenomenon of one-dimensional localized modes of several nonlinear continuous periodic and discrete systems of the nonlinear Schrödinger type. We show that either non-existence of solitons in the small amplitude limit or the loss of stability along existence branches can lead to delocalizing transitions, which occur following different scenarios. Examples of delocalizing transitions of both types are provided for a class of equations which describe single component and binary mixtures of Bose-Einstein condensates trapped in linear and nonlinear optical lattices.  相似文献

We propose a method for generating shock waves in Bose-Einstein condensates by rapidly increasing the value of the nonlinear coefficient using Feshbach resonances. We show that in a cigar-shaped condensate there exist primary (transverse) and secondary (longitudinal) shock waves. We analyze how the shocks are generated in multidimensional scenarios and describe the related phenomenology.  相似文献

Recent developments in scanning holographic microscopy that offer the prospects of new quantitative tools and imaging modalities in bio, micro, and nano sciences are reviewed. The versatility of the method is emphasized.
