New biodegradable composites based on keratin and polyethylene have been produced under shear deformation. It has been demonstrated that the introduction of keratin leads to an increase in elastic modulus and to a decrease in ultimate tensile strength and elongation at break of the compositions. Elongation at break εb depends on the keratin dispersity; the highest εb values are observed for the compositions containing the smallest keratin particles. It has been shown that the compositions are susceptible to mold fungi; i.e., they are biodegradable. 相似文献

This paper is concerned with analysis of the basic regularities of the kinetics of formation of polymers with a conjugated system. The experimentally found regularities are explained in terms of the proposed chain branched polymerization mechanism. The principal role in the chain polymerization mechanism is played by paramagnetic centers which are formed from the diamagnetic macromolecules of the polymer in the process of synthesis. The formation of paramagnetic centers is also due to the chain mechanism. It has been established that the thermal effect of the reaction leads to localized overheating of the emerging heterophase of the polymer, which has important consequences for the kinetics of polymerization and the rate of formation of paramagnetic centers. 相似文献

A simple model of fast solid-state reaction of two substances on the phase boundary is proposed. It is assumed that the reaction is controlled by the formation of new surface. The thermal and thermooxidative stability of polyisoprene containing polyazophenylene fragments of different composition was investigated.
