We study the decoherence process of an exact solvable model that consists of a central spin-1/2 coupling to the surrounding anisotropy spin-1/2 chain in transverse fields. The Loschrnidt echo is calculated to study the character of decoherence with different degree of anisotropy. Our results show that the degree of anisotropy γ greatly affects the decoherence process of the central spin-system when the spin chain is in weak transverse fields, but it gives weak effect in the strong transverse field. The decoherence process of the central system changed dramatically along the line of the critical points, and this may be explained as the reflection of quantum phase transitions. 相似文献

We discuss the dynamics of Bose-Einstein condensates in a double-well potential subject to decoherenee (or particle loss). Starting from the full many-body dynamics described by the master equation, an effective Gross- Pitaevskii-like equation is derived in the mean-field approximation. By numerically solving the GP equation, we find that macroscopic quantum self-trapping disappears for strong decoherence, while generalized self-trapping occurs under weak decoherence. The fixed points have been calculated, and we find that an abrupt change from elliptic to an attractor and a repeller occurs, reflecting the metastable behavior of the system around these points. 相似文献

This paper studies the discord of a bipartite two-level system coupling to an XY spin-chain environment in a transverse field and investigates the relationship between the discord property and the environment’s quantum phase transition.The results show that the quantum discord is also able to characterize the quantum phase transitions.We also discuss the difference between discord and entanglement,and show that quantum discord may reveal more general information than quantum entanglement for characterizing the environment’s quantum phase transition. 相似文献

We extend the idea of entanglement concentration protocol for pure states (Phys. Rev. Lett. 88, 187903) to the case of entanglement distillation for mixed states. The scheme works only with particle statistics and local operations, without the need of any other interactions. We show that the maximally entangled state can be distilled out when the initial state is pure, otherwise the entanglement distilled depends on the off-diagonal element of density matrix of the initial state. Because of the requirement for density matrix, the entanglement distilled is always less than one, and this result is the same for both fermionic and bosonic particles. The distillation efficiency is a product of the diagonal elements of the initial state, it takes the maximum 50%, the same as that in the case for pure states.We extend the idea of entanglement concentration protocol for pure states (Phys. 研究了各向异性谐振子捕获势中有限数目原子的玻色-爱因斯坦凝聚(BEC),结果表明:对有限数目捕获原子来说,它的BEC临界温度比热力学极限下捕获原子的BEC临界温度要低,原子间的相互作用也将提高(散射长度为负)或降低(散射长度为正)原子BEC临界温度.临界温度以下体系的比热随温度的变化行为不再是T3/2,而近似为T3.在定域密度近似下,还研究了各向同性捕获势中原子的空间分布,对有限数目的原子来说,它的密度比势力学极限下的要小,原子间的相互作用也降低原子的空间分布密度.
