A polarization-maintained coupled optoelectronic oscillator(COEO) with its performance significantly improved by a short-length unpumped erbium-doped fiber(EDF) is reported and experimentally investigated.A 10 GHz optical pulse train with a supermode suppression ratio of 61.8 d B and a 10 GHz radio frequency signal with a sidemode suppression ratio of 94 d B and a phase noise of-121.9 d Bc∕Hz at 10 k Hz offset are simultaneously generated. Thanks to saturable absorption of the 1 m unpumped EDF, which introduces relatively large cavity loss to the undesired modes and noise, the supermode suppression ratio and the phase noise are improved by 9.4 and 7.9 d B, respectively.  相似文献

A new idea to design fibre-based digital autocorrelation technique for completely characterizing ultrashort pulses is presented. Feasibility of the design is demonstrated by theory. Polarization mode dispersion (PMD) mitigation is performed using an optical 3R (re-amplification, reshaping, re-timing) regenerator based on electro-absorption modulator (EAM) with wavelength conversion. System performance without and with 3R regeneration was separately studied by eye analysis and bit-error rate (BER) measurements. The signal quality was significantly improved by 3R regeneration under serious first order PMD (up to 40% of the bit interval) combined with second order PMD (up to about 520 ps2). The PMD mitigation margin of the proposed method is also investigated by measuring the sensitivity at BER 10-10. Further studies indicate that 3R regenerators have the potential to combat with the effects of PMD combined with polarization dependent loss (PDL) and polarization hole-burning (PHB).  相似文献

研究了基于半导体光放大器(SOA)结合延迟干涉仪(DI)结构的伞光波长转换.分析了SOA-DI结构的工作原理和DI参数的作用,进行了10 Gb/s和40 Gb/s归零码全光波长转换实验研究.实验结果表明,基于SOA中交叉增益调制(XGM)效应实现的波长转换为反相转换,输出信号消光比较低.当工作速率较高时波长转换信号质量明显恶化.而SOA-DI结构可实现同相波长转换并可改善波长转换信号的消光比,从而改善单个SOA实现波长转换的性能并提高系统的工作速率,该结构还具有结构简单、可光子集成等优点.  相似文献

在测量与分析频率响应与动态范围的基础上,研究了重构-等效啁啾分布反馈半导体.直调激光器偏置电流以及调制信号的微波功率对直调结果的影响.将300Mb/s基带信号与1.562 5Gb/s超宽带信号同时直接加载到该激光器上,经过10km单模光纤传输后进行波形、频谱及误码率的检测,结果表明:基带信号与超宽带信号的功率代价分别为1.98dB与0.92dB;该激光器具有良好的多信号直接调制性能,在基于波分复用无源光网络的多业务融合网络中具有重要的应用前景.  相似文献

提出并论证了一种基于双边带调制的双扫频干涉测距技术,利用电-光双边带调制产生的-1和+1阶边带分别作为扫描方向相反的两个扫频信号,在接收端各获得一个频率与相对距离相关的拍频信号,通过将这两个拍频信号相乘的方式来减小由光路中扰动引起的测量误差.利用Optisystem软件进行系统仿真,结果表明,该方法能够有效抑制由于光路中扰动产生的测量误差.设计了实验验证系统,在光路中引入小幅振动作为扰动时,该方法对扰动的抑制比超过14dB,有效地提升了测距准确度.  相似文献

以无压缩全高清视频的光载无线传输为背景,通过研究宽带射频光子下转换技术,从而构建全高清视频的实时传输系统,其中下转换系统主要基于光电振荡器实现.由于光电振荡器的注入锁定,光微波信号中的载波信号被提取出来,并反馈至调制器,与宽带光微波信号混频,在光域实现信号下转换.实验论证了载频为10GHz,码率大于2Gb/s的信号下转换和有线无线传输.利用天线和光纤实现了距离为0.5 m的无线分发和距离为10km的有线传输.本文还成功实现了1.5Gb/s无压缩高清视频信号的实时传输.实验结果表明,该系统具有大带宽、抗电磁干扰等优点,同时利用光电振荡器的自动相位跟踪技术,无须外加锁相等操作.整个下转换系统简单稳定,为高清视频的有线无线传输提供了论证和演示平台.  相似文献

Multiwavelength dispersion-tuned actively mode-locked erbium-doped fibre ring laser is demonstrated by incorporating a section of highly nonlinear fibre (HNLF) in the laser cavity. The HNLF and the time gate element (modulator) in the fibre laser successfully suppress the gain competition in the erbium-doped fibre, and thus enable multiwavelength operation. Simultaneous generation of 10 GHz pulses up to eight different wavelengths is achieved. Wavelength, spacing and modes number tuning are investigated by changing fibre cavity length, dispersion, and erbium-doped fibre amplifier power, respectively.  相似文献

Optoelectronic components and subsystems such as optically controlled phased array antennas, distributed radar networks, interferometric optical fiber hydrophones, and high-speed optoelectronic chips demand highaccuracy optical time delay measurement with large measurement range and the capability for single-end and wavelength-dependent measurement. In this paper, the recent advances in the optical time delay measurement of a fiber link with high accuracy are reviewed. The general models of the typical time delay measurement technologies are established with the operational principle analyzed. The performance of these techniques is also discussed.  相似文献

研制出以注入锁模光纤激光器进行时钟恢复、电吸收调制器(EAM)作光判决门进行信号再整形的新型全光3R再生器,成功地运行于40Gb/s。理论和实验证明锁模环形激光器腔内放置的可调谐光滤波器的透射谱形状对时钟的脉宽有显著影响,超高斯透射谱的光滤波器利于获得窄时钟光脉冲,腔内放置这样的滤波器使恢复的时钟光脉冲谱宽达0.44nm、脉宽6ps、时间抖动小于1ps。最佳选择用作光判决的开关门的参量,改善了开关门的传输函数,使其接近阶跃函数,并使得开关窗宽度达到最佳。对于被剩余色散恶化的40Gb/s归零码信号进行了3R再牛,再生后达到了无误码。  相似文献
