Type II hybrid structures of TiO2 nanorods conjugated with CdS quantum dots: assembly and optical properties

We developed a novel method to assemble TiO₂ nanorods conjugated with CdS quantum dots by L-cysteine molecular linker for type II semiconducting hybrid structure. The XRD patterns indicate that the CdS quantum dots perform the cubic phase structure, and TEM images show that CdS quantum dots are well dispersed on the surfaces of anatase TiO₂ nanorods with little agglomeration. The UV-vis absorption spectra reveal the bandgap alignment in type II configuration between CdS QDs and TiO₂ nanorods.     

Ricci Positive Metrics on the Moment-Angle Manifolds

In this paper, the authors consider the problem of which (generalized) moment-angle manifolds admit Ricci positive metrics. For a simple polytope $P$, the authors can cut off one vertex $v$ of $P$ to get another simple polytope $P_{v}$, and prove that if the generalized moment-angle manifold corresponding to $P$ admits a Ricci positive metric, the generalized moment-angle manifold corresponding to $P_{v}$ also admits a Ricci positive metric. For a special class of polytope called Fano polytopes, the authors prove that the moment-angle manifolds corresponding to Fano polytopes admit Ricci positive metrics. Finally some conjectures on this problem are given.     

泡沫塑料富集-火焰原子吸收光谱法测定金矿石中金

采用聚氨酯泡塑富集硫脲洗脱-火焰原子吸收光谱法测定金矿石中金。对样品称样量、硫脲洗脱时间、磷酸三丁酯的吸附效果和铁元素的干扰等工作条件进行了优化,解决了泡沫塑料吸附效率低和铁元素的干扰等技术性难题,提高了分析结果的精密度和准确度,弥补了传统的泡沫塑料富集-火焰原子吸收光谱法测定金矿石中金量的不足,方法检出限为0.06 μg/g,测定范围为 0.2 μg/g～100 μg/g,测定结果与标准值符合性较好,无显著性差异,精密度(RSD, n = 9) 小于2%。方法具有快速、简便、实用等优点,分析误差满足常规化学分析法的要求,能满足金矿石中金量的快速、准确测定。     

Electrostatic assembly of CdTe quantum dots with different charged ligands into TiO2 porous film for solar cells

We have demonstrated an approach for the electrostatic assembly of CdTe quantum dots (QDs) with different charged ligands as sensitizers, achieving high coverage and good dispersion in TiO₂ porous films. The CdTe QD-sensitized TiO₂ porous films were subjected to thermal annealing in a high vacuum chamber to remove the ligand linker, resulting in the formation of direct heterojunctions between the bare CdTe QDs and TiO₂ for a favorable charge transfer. The as-received CdTe QD-sensitized TiO₂ porous films were employed as photoanodes for quantum dot-sensitized solar cells (QSSCs), and the photocurrent density reached as high as 4.69 mA/cm² under a standard illumination condition of simulated AM 1.5G (100 mW/cm²).     

On Groups with Minimality Condition for Noninvariant Abelian pd-Subgroups

We study properties and the structure of non-Abelian groups with minimality condition for non-invariant Abelian pd-subgroups in the case where they do not satisfy the minimality condition for Abelian pd-subgroups. Development of one-pot benzylic amination reactions of azine N-oxides

An efficient one-pot synthetic methodology has been developed for the benzylic amination reactions of methyl-substituted azine N-oxides that operate under mild conditions. The reaction was found to tolerate quinoline and isoquinoline N-oxides with electron donating and withdrawing substituents as the electrophilic reaction partners as well as a broad range of nucleophilic primary, secondary and aromatic amines, affording the benzylic amination products in up to 82% yield.     

Thermo‐triggered Release of CRISPR‐Cas9 System by Lipid‐Encapsulated Gold Nanoparticles for Tumor Therapy

CRISPR/Cas9 system is a powerful toolbox for gene editing. However, the low delivery efficiency is still a big hurdle impeding its applications. Herein, we report a strategy to deliver Cas9‐sgPlk‐1 plasmids (CP) by a multifunctional vehicle for tumor therapy. We condensed CPs on TAT peptide‐modified Au nanoparticles (AuNPs/CP, ACP) via electrostatic interactions, and coated lipids (DOTAP, DOPE, cholesterol, PEG2000‐DSPE) on the ACP to form lipid‐encapsulated, AuNPs‐condensed CP (LACP). LACP can enter tumor cells and release CP into the cytosol by laser‐triggered thermo‐effects of the AuNPs; the CP can enter nuclei by TAT guidance, enabling effective knock‐outs of target gene (Plk‐1) of tumor (melanoma) and inhibition of the tumor both in vitro and in vivo. This AuNPs‐condensed, lipid‐encapsulated, and laser‐controlled delivery system provides a versatile method for high efficiency CRISPR/Cas9 delivery and targeted gene editing for treatment of a wide spectrum of diseases.
