A geometric Doppler effect manifested by a spin-split dispersion relation of thermal radiation is observed. A spin-dependent dispersion splitting was obtained in a structure consisting of a coupled thermal antenna array. The effect is due to a spin-orbit interaction resulting from the dynamics of the surface waves propagating along the structure whose local anisotropy axis is rotated in space. The observation of the spin-symmetry breaking in thermal radiation may be utilized for manipulation of spontaneous or stimulated emission.  相似文献

In this Letter we suggest a method to observe remote interactions of spatially separated dipolar quantum fluids, and in particular, of dipolar excitons in GaAs bilayer based devices. The method utilizes the static electric dipole moment of trapped dipolar fluids to induce a local potential change on spatially separated test dipoles. We show that such an interaction can be used for model-independent, objective fluid density measurements, an outstanding problem in this field of research, as well as for interfluid exciton flow control and trapping. For a demonstration of the effects on realistic devices, we use a full two-dimensional hydrodynamical model.  相似文献

This paper describes the lifting of automorphic characters of O(3)(A) to . It does so by matching the image of this lift with the lift of automorphic characters from O(1)(A) to . Our matching actually gives a matching of individual automorphic forms, and not just of representation spaces. Let V be a 3-dimensional quadratic vector space and U a certain 1-dimensional quadratic space. To an automorphic form IV(χ,φ) determined by the Schwartz function φS(V(A)) in the lift of the character χ we match an automorphic form IU(μ,φ0) determined by the Schwartz function φ0S(U(A)) in the lift of the character μ. Our work shows that, the space U is explicitly determined by the character χ. The character μ is explicitly determined by the space V and the function φ0 is given by an orbital integral involving φ.  相似文献

In this article we give a homological characterization of the topology of Stein spaces over any valued base field. In particular, when working over the field of complex numbers, we obtain a characterization of the usual Euclidean (transcendental) topology of complex analytic spaces. For non-Archimedean base fields the topology we characterize coincides with the topology of the Berkovich analytic space associated to a non-Archimedean Stein algebra. Because the characterization we used is borrowed from a definition in derived geometry, this work should be read as a derived perspective on analytic geometry.  相似文献

We construct symmetric monoidal categories of rooted forests and Feynman graphs. These categories closely resemble finitary abelian categories, and in particular, the notion of Ringel-Hall algebra applies. The Ringel-Hall Hopf algebras of , are dual to the corresponding Connes-Kreimer Hopf algebras on rooted trees and Feynman diagrams. We thus obtain an interpretation of the Connes-Kreimer Lie algebras on rooted trees and Feynman graphs as Ringel-Hall Lie algebras.  相似文献

Protein kinase RNA-activated (PKR) plays an important role in a broad range of intracellular regulatory mechanisms and in the pathophysiology of many human diseases, including microbial and viral infections, cancer, diabetes and neurodegenerative disorders. Recently, several potent PKR inhibitors have been synthesized. However, the enzyme’s multifunctional character and a multitude of PKR downstream targets have prevented the successful transformation of such inhibitors into effective drugs. Thus, the need for additional PKR inhibitors remains. With the help of computer-aided drug-discovery tools, we designed and synthesized potential PKR inhibitors. Indeed, two compounds were found to inhibit recombinant PKR in pharmacologically relevant concentrations. One compound, 6-amino-3-methyl-2-oxo-N-phenyl-2,3-dihydro-1H-benzo[d]imidazole-1-carboxamide, also showed anti-apoptotic properties. The novel molecules diversify the existing pool of PKR inhibitors and provide a basis for the future development of compounds based on PKR signal transduction mechanism.  相似文献

As two-dimensional (2-D) electrophoresis allows the separation of several hundred proteins in a single gel, this technique has become an important tool for proteome studies and for investigating the cellular physiology. In order to take advantage of information provided by the comparison of proteome pictures, the mass spectrometry technique is the way chosen for a rapid and an accurate identification of proteins of interest. Unfortunately, in the case of industrial yeasts, due to the high level of complexity of their genome, the whole DNA sequence is not yet available and all encoded protein sequences are still unknown. Nevertheless, this study presents here 30 lager brewing yeast proteins newly identified with matrix assisted laser desorption/ionization-time of flight (MALDI-TOF), tandem mass spectrometry (MS/MS) and database searching against the protein sequences of Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The identified proteins of the industrial strain correspond to proteins which do not comigrate with known proteins of S. cerevisiae separated on 2-D gels. This study presents an application of the MS technique for the identification of industrial yeast proteins which are only homologous to the corresponding S. cerevisiae proteins.  相似文献
