Electrophysical principles of the theory of pulsed arcs

The article discusses the results of the authors' research on the theory of pulsed arcs. After applying several fundamental assumptions of the theory of ac and dc arcs to pulsed operation conditions, the authors come to the same qualitative relations which Rompe and Weizerl had obtained for a high-current spark discharge. The quantitative relationships obtained by the authors are closer to the results of experiments than the theory of Rompe and Weizel. The article outlines a new approach to the analysis of electrophysical processes in a discharge channel. This is of practical and theoretical importance for the development of the theory of pulsed discharges in gases.     

On the Limit Distribution of Integrals of Shot-Noise Processes

We establish limit theorems for integrals of shot-noise processes and study the asymptotic behavior of the moments of integrals of this type.
