Strong Polynomial Completeness of Almost All Quasigroups

Mathematical Notes - In the paper, it is proved that almost all quasigroups are strongly polynomially complete, i.e., are not isotopic to quasigroups that are not polynomially complete.     

Two-parameter failure criterion for elastoplastic bodies with mode I cracks

The generalized Dugdale crack model is used to formulate two-parameter failure criteria for the cases of quasibrittle state and developed plastic zones at a mode I crack tip. The failure criteria relate the fracture strength characteristics and the stress mode at the crack tip through the plastic constraint factor. The critical state of bodies with cracks under uni-and biaxial loading is analyzed in the cases of plane stress and plane strain using the Tresca and von Mises yield criteria. The Stress Intensity Factor for an Elliptic Crack Under a Piecewise-Constant Load

A closed approximate solution is given for the stress intensity factor (SIF) at the front of an elliptic crack under uniform loading on the elliptic ring. The solution is constructed by modifying Rice's variational formula that integrally relates the SIFs for two different states on the crack faces. The first state is a combination of the second and principal states such that the total SIF is zero. In this case, Rice's formula reduces to the virtual-displacement principle for a combined loading on the crack faces.

Dugdale-type model for a mixed-mode crack: plane stress state

Amixed-mode (I + II) crack model with a plastic strip on its continuation is proposed. The three unknown stress components within the strip are determined from the yield conditions, stress limitation, and relationship between the normal stress components defined via the principal stress state. The crack parameters are analyzed for the Mises yield condition     

Isolation,NMR spectroscopy,and conformational analysis of the antibiotic ina 2770 (cineromycin B) produced by <Emphasis Type="Italic">Streptomyces</Emphasis> strain

The antibiotic INA 2770 active against methicillin-resistant staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) was biotechnologically produced and isolated. This antibiotic is identical to cineromycin B. The characteristic features of the ¹H and ¹³C NMR spectra of this compound were studied for the first time, and the conformational analysis was carried out by computational methods (molecular mechanics (MM3) force field) and using nuclear Overhauser effect experiments.
