Synthesis of pyridine-based poly(N-arylenebenzimidazole sulfone)

Poly（N-arylenebenzimidazole pyridine sulfone）（PNABIPS） has been prepared via the aromatic nucleophilic displacement reaction of 2,6-bis（2-benzimidazoly）pyridine（BBP） with bis（4-fluorophenyl） sulfone.BBP was synthesized by reaction of 2,6- pyridinedicarboxylic acid with 1,2-phenylenediamine in polyphosphoric acid.The chemical structure of BBP was confirmed by FTIR, HRMS,¹H NMR and ¹³C NMR.The characterization of the polymer was performed with FT-IR,¹H NMR,elemental analysis, GPC,XRD,DSC,TGA and solubility tests.The polymer was obtained in quantitative yield with M_n value 12,600 and M_w value 28,300,respectively.DSC and TGA measurements show that the glass transition temperature（T_g） is 312℃ and 5%weight loss temperature is 434℃ in nitrogen and 545℃ in air,respectively.In addition,the novel polymer exhibits good solubility,which can be dissolved in common organic solvent at room temperature.     

New Approach to N‐substituted‐1,2,3,6‐tetrahydro‐pyridine‐4‐carbaldehyde,a Precursor for Synthesizing Aricept®, Isoguvacine,and Deethylibophyllidine

A new route towards the synthesis of N‐substituted‐4‐formylpiperidine using N‐benzyl or tryptaminyl‐sulfonylacetamide and α,β‐unsaturated ester as starting materials is described. Formal synthesis of Aricept^®, deethylibophyllidine, and isoguvacine, which have potential biological activities, were synthesized via this strategy.     

Determination of L-phenylalanine by cucurbit[7]uril sensitized fluorescence quenching method

The determination method of L-phenylalanine（LPA） by fluorescence quenching was developed.The assay was based on the combination of the cucurbit[7]uril（CB[7]） with palmatine hydrochloride（PAL） reaction.In the presence of CB[7],the fluorescence of PAL was quenched by LPA which can be employed to detect LPA.Under the optimal conditions,a linear range 3.63×10^-8- 9.68×10^-6mol/L and a detection limit 1.27×10^-8mol/L of LPA were obtained.The relative standard deviation（R.S.D） was 1.8%obtained from a series of 11 standards each containing 6.05×10^-6 mol/L of LPA.This paper also discusses the mechanism of fluorescence indicator probe.

Primes in Special Intervals and Additive Problems with Such Numbers

We study primes in a special set E which is naturally described by the fractional part of p^a, where a<1 is a noninteger. An asymptotic formula with power lowering in the remainder of the trigonometric sum over primes from the set E is obtained. We study several applications of this result to problems of the distribution of primes from E in arithmetic progressions and to additive problems with primes from E.     

Anodic Oxidation Behaviors of Formaldehyde at Boron‐Doped Diamond Electrodes

The electrochemical behaviors of formaldehyde (FA) at boron‐doped diamond (BDD) electrodes are investigated by cyclic voltammetry (CV), electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS), and linear scanning voltammetry (LSV) techniques. The CV results show that the oxidation reaction of FA is influenced by the hydroxyl concentration in the solution, and the peak current response with the FA concentration is linear at the range from 10 to 100 mM. The differential capacitance from EIS results indicate that the FA molecules adsorb at the BDD electrode surface at low potential (from 1.0 to 1.4 V). The kinetic studies have been examined with the various concentrations of FA, pH, and temperature. The activation energy of FA oxidation is also calculated. The results of kinetic study indicate that the adsorption of FA molecules at the BDD electrode is the rate‐determining step at low potential (from 1.0 to 1.40 V).

We establish a relation between the lower bound for the maximum of the modulus of $\zeta (1/2 + iT + s)$ in the disk $|s| \leqslant H$ and the lower bound for the maximum of the modulus of $\zeta (1/2 + iT + it)$ on the closed interval $|t| \leqslant H$ for $0 < H(T) \leqslant {1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 2}} \right. \kern-0em} 2}$ . We prove a theorem on the lower bound for the maximum of the modulus of $0 < H(T) \leqslant {1 \mathord{\left/ {\vphantom {1 2}} \right. \kern-0em} 2}$ on the closed interval $|t| \leqslant H$ for $40 \leqslant H(T) \leqslant \log \log T$ .

Endomorphin analogues with balanced affinity for bothμ- andδ-opioid receptors

Analogues of endomorphin and tripeptidcs modified at positions 4 and 3,respectively,with various phenylalanine analogues were synthesized and their affinities for opioid receptors were evaluated.Most of the peptides exhibited potentμ-receptor affinity and selectivity,among them,compound 7(Dmt-Pro-Tmp-Tmp-NH_2) exhibited potent affinity for bothμ-andδ-receptors (K_iμ= 0.47 nmol/L,K_iδ= 1.63 nmol/L).     

Synthesis and characterization of NaA zeolite particle as intumescent fiame retardant in chloroprene rubber system
