Exponential--fraction trial function method to the 5th-order mKdV equation

This paper obtains some solutions of the 5th-order mKdV equation by using the exponential--fraction trial function method, such as solitary wave solutions, shock wave solutions and the hopping wave solutions. It successfully shows that this method may be valid for solving other nonlinear partial differential equations.

New DLW Hierarchy of an Integrable Coupling and Its Hamiltonian Structure

A type of higher-dimensional loop algebra is constructed from which an isospectral problem is established. It follows that an integrable coupling, actually an extended integrable model of the existed solitary hierarchy of equations, is obtained by taking use of the zero curvature equation, whose Hamiltonian structure is worked out by employing the constructed quadratic identity.     

STEADY SOLUTIONS OF THE OPTICAL SOLITON EQUATION WITH A NONLINEAR RESPONSE DELAY TERM

The exact solution of the optical soliton equation with a nonlinear response delay term has been obtained by using the method of separating variables. The new type of optical solitary wave solution, which is quite different from the bright and dark soliton solutions, has been found for a special case.
