Reactions occurring at surfaces and interfaces necessitate the creation of well-designed surface and interfacial structures. To achieve a combination of bulk material (i.e., framework) and void spaces, a meticulous process of “nano-architecting” of the available space is necessary. Conventional porous materials such as mesoporous silica, zeolites, and metal–organic frameworks lack advanced cooperative functionalities owing to their largely monotonous pore geometries and limited conductivities. To overcome these limitations and develop functional structures with surface-specific functions, the novel materials space-tectonics methodology has been proposed for future materials synthesis. This review summarizes recent examples of materials synthesis based on designing building blocks (i.e., tectons) and their hybridization, along with practical guidelines for implementing materials syntheses and state-of-the-art examples of practical applications. Lastly, the potential integration of materials space-tectonics with emerging technologies, such as materials informatics, is discussed.  相似文献

Type I (α-) and II cleavages are two of the best known photochemical processes of alkanone.2 Extensive and intensive investigations have been done on both types of reactions in order to clarify the influence of structural changes on the reactivity, specificity, and efficiency of photoreactions of alkanones.3 The type I cleavage of medium-ring alkanones is believed to produce a radical pair, the fate of which will be determined by the ready formation of transition states for transfer of Ha, Hb, and recyclization. We synthesized seven partially protonated poly(aspartic acids)/sodium polyaspartates (P-Asp) with different average molecular weights to study their proton transport properties. The number-average degree of polymerization (DP) for each P-Asp was 30 (P-Asp30), 115 (P-Asp115), 140 (P-Asp140), 160 (P-Asp160), 185 (P-Asp185), 205 (P-Asp205), and 250 (P-Asp250). The proton conductivity depended on the number-average DP. The maximum and minimum proton conductivities under a relative humidity of 70% and 298 K were 1.7 · 10?3 S cm?1 (P-Asp140) and 4.6 · 10?4 S cm?1 (P-Asp250), respectively. Differential thermogravimetric analysis (TG-DTA) was carried out for each P-Asp. The results were classified into two categories. One exhibited two endothermic peaks between t = (270 and 300) °C, the other exhibited only one peak. The P-Asp group with two endothermic peaks exhibited high proton conductivity. The high proton conductivity is related to the stability of the polymer. The number-average molecular weight also contributed to the stability of the polymer.  相似文献

Adenosylhopane is a crucial intermediate in the biosynthesis of bacteriohopanepolyols, which are widespread prokaryotic membrane lipids. Herein, it is demonstrated that reconstituted HpnH, a putative radical S‐adenosyl‐l ‐methionine (SAM) enzyme, commonly encoded in the hopanoid biosynthetic gene cluster, converts diploptene into adenosylhopane in the presence of SAM, flavodoxin, flavodoxin reductase, and NADPH. NMR spectra of the enzymatic reaction product were identical to those of synthetic (22R)‐adenosylhopane, indicating that HpnH catalyzes stereoselective C?C formation between C29 of diploptene and C5′ of 5′‐deoxyadenosine. Further, the HpnH reaction in D2O‐containing buffer revealed that a D atom was incorporated at the C22 position of adenosylhopane. Based on these results, we propose a radical addition reaction mechanism catalyzed by HpnH for the formation of the C35 bacteriohopane skeleton.  相似文献

This paper describes a quantitative measurement of trace elements (Na, Li) in high purity zirconium dioxide powder using liquid electrode plasma optical emission spectrometry (LEP-OES). Conventionally, for such type of measurements, inductively coupled plasma optical emission spectrometry (ICP-OES) is frequently employed. The detection limits of elements in zirconium by ICP-OES are degraded due to the spectra interference between the trace elements and zirconium of the matrix, because zirconium is a line rich element in spectra obtained by ICP-OES. LEP-OES is an elemental analysis method developed by the authors. The measurement principle is simple, as follows. Sample solution is put into a narrow channel on a small cuvette and voltage pulse is applied from both ends of the channel. At the center of the channel which is made narrower, the voltage and current are concentrated there, and plasma is generated. From the emission of the plasma, the quantitative analysis of the elements in the solution is achieved. The LEP-OES has the property that the emission of zirconium is relatively weak, so that highly sensitive measurement of trace elements in zirconium matrix can be conducted without interference. Sample solution is prepared by dissolving high purity zirconium dioxide powder and trace amounts of Na or Li with sulfuric acid. The voltage dependence and the pulse width dependence of optical emission spectra are also investigated. With increase of the voltage or the pulse width, the ratio of emission intensities of Na to those of hydrogen increases. This suggests that the ratio of sensitivity of two elements is variable, that means the element selectivity is controllable to some extent by the measurement conditions in LEP-OES. In the case of Na and H, the ratio can be controlled from 7.4 to 21.6%. Finally, the detection limits (3S.D.) of the trace elements, Na and Li, in 4000 μg g−1 zirconium dioxide aqueous solution are found to be 0.02 and 0.133 μg g−1, respectively. These values correspond to 5 μg g−1 for Na, 33.25 μg g−1 for Li in original high purity zirconium dioxide powder. The correlation coefficient of calibration curve was 0.995 for Na, 0.985 for Li. Those are comparable to the literature values of detection limits using ICP-OES.  相似文献

We study parametric estimation of ergodic diffusions observed at high frequency. Different from the previous studies, we suppose that sampling stepsize is unknown, thereby making the conventional Gaussian quasi-likelihood not directly applicable. In this situation, we construct estimators of both model parameters and sampling stepsize in a fully explicit way, and prove that they are jointly asymptotically normally distributed. High order uniform integrability of the obtained estimator is also derived. Further, we propose the Schwarz (BIC) type statistics for model selection and show its model-selection consistency. We conducted some numerical experiments and found that the observed finite-sample performance well supports our theoretical findings.

Two practical techniques are proposed in this paper to simulate a flow contained in a plenum with a downstream tube bundle under a PC environment. First, a technique to impose slip wall conditions on smooth‐faced planes and sharp edges is proposed to compensate for the mesh coarseness relative to boundary layer thickness. In particular, a new type of Poisson equation is formulated to simultaneously satisfy both such velocity boundary conditions on walls and the incompressibility constraint. Second, a numerical model for a downstream tube bundle is proposed, where hydraulic resistance in a tube is imposed as a traction boundary condition on a fluid surface contacting the tube bundle end. The effectiveness of the techniques is numerically demonstrated in the application to a flow in a condenser water box. Copyright © 2001 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
