Evaluations of vertical resolution of conductive polymer three-dimensional microstructures photofabricated in transparent polymer sheet

Conductive polymer three-dimensional microstructures were photofabricated utilizing the two-photon absorption of a sensitizer dye. The resulting three-dimensional structures were excised from the transparent polymer sheet using a micro-manipulator. The processing precisions for the vertical direction of the conductive polymer three-dimensional microstructure obtained in the transparent polymer sheet were evaluated in the present study. As a result, for the configurations of the obtained polypyrrole line deposition, the line height/line width ratios were around 5: 1; this ratio is higher than that of other UV resin works (h: w 2:4–3: 1) and the cross section distortion is not negligible for maintaining the higher reproducibility of the photofabrication.     

Determination of kynurenic acid levels in rat brain microdialysis samples and changes in kynurenic acid levels induced by N‐acetylaspartic acid

The levels of kynurenic acid, an endogenous antagonist of α₇ nicotinic acetylcholine and N‐methyl‐D ‐aspartate receptors, were measured in microdialysis samples obtained from the prefrontal cortices of rats using column‐switching high‐performance liquid chromatography with fluorescence detection. When the perfusate was constantly infused at a rate of 1.0 μ/min, the in vitro recovery of kynurenic acid through the dialysis membrane was approximately 20.4%, and the precision was within 1.31%. Endogenous kynurenic acid in the microdialysis sample was clearly detected using column‐switching high‐performance liquid chromatography. As an application study, N‐acetyl‐L ‐aspartic acid, an endogenous metabolite and precursor of N‐acetyl‐L ‐aspartyl‐L ‐glutamic acid, which is an agonist of metabotropic glutamate receptors, was infused for 120 min through the microdialysis probe. The kynurenic acid level significantly increased during the infusion of N‐acetyl‐L ‐aspartic acid, suggesting that kynurenic acid might have some association with N‐acetyl‐L ‐aspartic acid in vivo. 5-Isoquinolinesulfonamide derivatives. III. Synthesis and vasodilatory activity of 1-(5-isoquinoline-sulfonyl)piperazine derivatives.

On the basis of a hypothesis that cyclization and alkylation of the diamine part in formula 1 may give highly active compounds, a new series of 5-isoquinolinesulfonamide derivatives, shown as formula 2, were prepared from cyclic diamines. Their vasodilatory effects were subsequently evaluated in vivo according to the increase in arterial blood flow after the formulas were injected locally to the femoral and/or vertebral arteries of dogs. Cyclization of the diamine structure in formula 1 gave very potent vasodilators: 6 and 14. Acylation and sulfonylation of terminal amino nitrogen afforded much less potent compounds. In contrast to the hypothesis, alkylation on the ring carbon and the terminal nitrogen of the cyclic amine afforded less active compounds except for compound 11. The most active compounds, 6, 11 and 14, showed more potent vasodilatory effects and more selective activity to the vertebral artery than either trapidil or diltiazem.     

Liquid-liquid extraction of copper (I) and copper (II) as ion-paired complexes with acyclic 2-thienyl-containing polythioether and triphenylmethane dye anion

Three acyclic polythioethers containing 2-thienyl units at both ends were synthesized and the effect of substituent on the extraction of copper(II) was studied. The methyl groups in the terminal thiophene ring have imparted an appreciable degree of increase in the percent extraction of copper(II), while the introduction of chlorine atoms into the 2-thienyl unit resulted in the reverse effect. Among the counter dye anions examined, tetrabromophenolphthalein ethylester was the best one for copper(II) extraction. The composition of extracted species was evaluated to be 122 (Cu(II)/polythioether/dye anion). Quantitative extraction of copper(I) was attained as complexes with various triphenylmethane dyes, i.e., bromocresol green, bromothymol blue, bromo-phenol blue and pyrogallol red. Copper(I) in organic phase was completely back-extracted with 2 mole/l sulfuric acid containing 10% hydrogen peroxide.

Der Vorgang des Zerspringens wurde reaktionskinetisch behandelt. Die scheinbare Reaktionsordnung wurde bestimmt und ihre Bedeutung diskutiert.

Synthesis of n-alkyl-n-(1-hydroxyperoxyalkyl)nitrosamines by oxygenation of lithiated dialkylnitrosamines

N-Alkyl-N(1-hydroperoxyalkyl)nitrosamines were synthesized from N,N-dialkylnitrosamines by lithiation with lithium diisopropylamide, followed by oxygenation with oxygen in good yields.
