A linear optical unambiguous discrimination of hyperentangled Bell states is proposed for two‐photon systems entangled in both the polarization and momentum degrees of freedom (DOFs) assisted by time bin. This unambiguous discrimination scheme can completely identify 16 orthogonal hyperentangled Bell states using only linear optical elements, where the function of the auxiliary entangled Bell state is replaced by time bin. Moreover, the possibility of extending this scheme for distinguishing hyperentangled Bell states in n DOFs is discussed, and it shows that hyperentangled Bell states in n ( ) DOFs can be distinguished with k ( ) auxiliary entangled states of additional DOFs by introducing a time delay, which decreases the auxiliary entanglement resource required for unambiguous discrimination of hyperentangled Bell state. Therefore, this scheme provides a new way for distinguishing hyperentangled states with current technology, which will extend the application of discrimination of hyperentangled states via linear optics to other quantum information protocols besides hyperdense coding schemes in the future. 相似文献

A homochiral helical three‐dimensional coordination polymer, poly[[(μ2‐acetato‐κ3O,O′:O)(hydroxido‐κO)(μ4‐5‐nicotinamido‐1H‐1,2,3,4‐tetrazol‐1‐ido‐κ5N1,O:N2:N4:N5)(μ3‐5‐nicotinamido‐1H‐1,2,3,4‐tetrazol‐1‐ido‐κ4N1,O:N2:N4:N5)dicadmium(II)] 0.75‐hydrate], {[Cd2(C7H5N6O)2(CH3COO)(OH)]·0.75H2O}n, was synthesized by the reaction of cadmium acetate, N‐(1H‐tetrazol‐5‐yl)isonicotinamide (H‐NTIA), ethanol and H2O under hydrothermal conditions. The asymmetric unit contains two crystallographically independent CdII cations, two deprotonated 5‐nicotinamido‐1H‐1,2,3,4‐tetrazol‐1‐ide (NTIA−) ligands, one acetate anion, one hydroxide anion and three independent partially occupied water sites. The two CdII cations, with six‐coordinated octahedral and seven‐coordinated pentagonal bipyramidal geometries are located on general sites. The tetrazole group of one symmetry‐independent NTIA− ligand links one of the independent CdII cations into 61 helical chains, while the other NTIA− ligand links the other independent CdII cations into similar but unequal 61 helical chains. These chains, with a pitch of 24.937 (5) Å, intertwine into a double‐stranded helix. Each of the double‐stranded 61 helices is further connected to six adjacent helical chains through an acetate μ2‐O atom and the tetrazole group of the NTIA− ligand into a three‐dimensional framework. The helical channel is occupied by the isonicotinamide groups of NTIA− ligands and two helices are connected to each other through the pyridine N and carbonyl O atoms of isonicotinamide groups. Circular dichroism is known to be the feature of a chiral agent which has inspired scientist to study the interesting phenomena of circularly polarized light (CPL) modulated molecular chirality. Although several organic molecules or assemblies have been found to be CPL‐responsive, the influence of CPL on the assembly of chiral coordination compounds remains unknown. Herein, a chiral coordination polymer, which is constructed from achiral agents, was used to study the CPL‐induced enantioselective synthesis. By irradiation with either left‐handed or right‐handed CPL during the reaction and crystallization, enantiomeric excesses of the crystalline product were obtained. Left‐handed CPL resulted in crystals with a left‐handed helical structure, and right‐handed CPL led to crystals with a right‐handed helical structure. It is exciting that the absolute asymmetric synthesis of a chiral coordination polymer could be enantioselective when using CPL, and provides a strategy for the control of the chirality of chiral coordination polymers. 相似文献

Among numerous iterative methods for solving the minimal nonnegative solution of an M‐matrix algebraic Riccati equation, the structure‐preserving doubling algorithm (SDA) stands out owing to its overall efficiency as well as accuracy. SDA is globally convergent and its convergence is quadratic, except for the critical case for which it converges linearly with the linear rate 1/2. In this paper, we first undertake a delineatory convergence analysis that reveals that the approximations by SDA can be decomposed into two components: the stable component that converges quadratically and the rank‐one component that converges linearly with the linear rate 1/2. Our analysis also shows that as soon as the stable component is fully converged, the rank‐one component can be accurately recovered. We then propose an efficient hybrid method, called the two‐phase SDA, for which the SDA iteration is stopped as soon as it is determined that the stable component is fully converged. Therefore, this two‐phase SDA saves those SDA iterative steps that previously have to have for the rank‐one component to be computed accurately, and thus essentially, it can be regarded as a quadratically convergent method. Effects of time-lagged niche construction on metapopulation dynamics and environmental heterogeneity
Time-delayed responses to environmental changes and disturbance can beget profound effects on the spatiotemporal dynamics of metapopulations. Here, we first examined the effect of three forms of time-lag (that is, equal-weight, recency and primacy effects) on population dynamics, using a spatially structured lattice model. The time-lag was incorporated in the niche construction process of the system (an organism–environment feedback). Using bifurcations diagrams and numerical simulations, we found that the time-lag can form a phase-locked oscillation. Three typical spatial patterns emerged: spiral wave, spiral-broken wave and circular wave. These spatial patterns gradually become immobile as a result of the self-organized ecological imprinting due to niche construction. Therefore, the phase-locked oscillation and the ecological imprinting process together determine the spatial structure of metapopulations and the environmental heterogeneity. 相似文献
