A simple and efficient method for the iodination of aromatic amines using pyridinium iodochloride (PyICl) in methanol as solvent is reported. Mild reaction conditions, short reaction time, and good to excellent yields of the product are the noteworthy advantages of the method. Pd-MCM-48 has been employed as a heterogeneous catalyst for the synthesis of substituted acetylenes via Sonogashira reactions under copper and amine-free reaction conditions. In addition, the catalyst exhibited excellent regioselectivity for primary alcohols towards C-O coupling leading to formation of alkyl-aryl ethers in high yields. A green procedure for the stereoselective synthesis of 2-alkene-4-ynoates and nitriles from the reactions of vic-(E)-diiodoalkenes with activated alkenes has also been demonstrated using Pd-MCM-48 catalyst. Perovskite-type La0.6Sr0.4Co0.2Fe0.8O3-δ (LSCF6428) thin-film membrane prepared by modified Pechini sol–gel process, was successfully deposited on porous support
of similar composition using dip-coating method. Fine grain and crack-free film with perovskite structure was obtained at
sintering temperature of 800 °C and dwelling time of 60 min. The cross-sectional image indicated that LSCF6428 thin-film membrane
coated on the porous support showed excellent adhesion to the support with uniform thickness. The minimum dense layer thickness
obtained by dip-coating method was around 0.5 μm. It was found that the oxygen permeability of the supported thin film was
lower than that of the perovskite support, which indicated that the pores of the support were reduced by thin-film deposition
on the support surface. The reduction in the pore size led to the more selective permeation mechanism contributes to the overall
permeation. Successful deposition of LSCF6428 thin-film membrane on porous support can be considered as a promising technique

A new reverse analysis is presented that determines the plastic response of both nongraded and plastically graded materials (PGMs) without the need for traditional tension or compression tests. The method utilizes the concepts of expanding cavity model for strain hardening materials, Tabor’s rule of converting Vickers hardness to flow stress, representative plastic strain induced by indentation, and finite element modeling of the macro indentation process. A unique flow curve is determined when the experimentally measured increase in micro Vickers hardness matches that predicted by the proposed method within the plastic zone of a macro Vickers indent. The method is validated for a nongraded stainless steel first and then extended to determine the gradient in flow curves of plastically graded, case-hardened M50 NiL material, a widely used bearing steel. Such knowledge of the plastic response of the case hardened region will help optimize the design of case hardened bearings with longer rolling contact fatigue life and higher thrust load capabilities. 相似文献
