Neutron activation analysis is one of the analytical techniques often used for certification of reference materials. The k0-based method of instrumental neutron activation analysis can also be applied in intercomparison runs in the certification process and therefore it is desirable to know its accuracy in advance. Possible systematic errors related to the application of nuclear data at given neutron flux rate parameters, that can affect the uncertainties of the results obtained by this specific method, are elucidated and error propagation factors calculated for a typical irradiation position in the TRIGA Mark II reactor of the Jozef Stefan Institute. It was found that these uncertainties are at the level of 1–2% on the average.  相似文献

Several approaches to quantifying measurement uncertainty in k 0-based neutron activation analysis (k 0-NAA) are reviewed, comprising the original approach, the spreadsheet approach, the dedicated computer program involving analytical calculations and the two k 0-NAA programs available on the market. Two imperfectness in the dedicated programs are identified, their impact assessed and possible improvements presented for a concrete experimental situation. The status of uncertainty assessment in k 0-NAA is discussed and steps for improvement are recommended. It is concluded that the present magnitude of measurement uncertainty should further be improved by making additional efforts in reducing uncertainties of the relevant nuclear constants used.  相似文献

A probabilistic fracture mechanics model is employed to estimate the failure probability of axially cracked steam generator tubes. The model estimates the failure probability from the random changes of the influencing parameters such as tube and crack geometry, material properties and non-destructive examination results, reliability and sizing accuracy and stable crack propagation. The performance of the model is illustrated by a numerical example. A steam generator tubing severely affected by the stress corrosion cracking is studied during most unfavourable accidental conditions. Two different plugging approaches are analyzed and the quality is compared, showing the superior performance of crack length oriented approach over tube wall thickness reduction both in terms of SG failure probability and extent of plugging. Thus, apart from setting the acceptable SG failure probability, all elements for the risk-based SG lifetime optimisation are provided on the example of stress corrosion cracking in the tube expansion transition zone.  相似文献

A novel and simple method has been developed for the determination of doxycycline (DOX) in biological fluids. The method is based on SPE, large-volume sample stacking (LVSS) and MEKC with UV-DAD detection. Six SPE cartridges have been used in investigation for sample clean up and pre-concentration (Supelco LC-8, LC-18, LC-SCX, and LC-WCX, as well as Strata-X and X-C). DOX was determined on a 56 cm (effective length 50 cm) x 50 microm id fused-silica capillary. The BGE was 20 mM borate buffer, pH 9.3, containing 80 mM SDS and 7.5% v/v of methanol (30 sx50 mbar), and the temperature and voltage were 25 degrees C and 30 kV, respectively. The analytical wavelength was set at 210 nm. Under optimized conditions it is possible to determine DOX in human serum, urine, semen, tears and saliva with recovery of 97.5% (RSD 2.5%). The method was shown to be sensitive (LOD is 1 microg/L) and precise (intra-day RSD 0.2 and 2.4%; inter-days 0.4 and 3.5% for migration time and peak area, respectively). Results for developed SPE-LVSS-MEKC were compared with LVSS-MEKC method with direct sample injection. The new LVSS-MEKC method is presented as a useful technique for rapid determination without extraction procedure of DOX in human urine and serum, using 80 mM of SDS, 10% v/v of methanol and 40 mM borate buffer (pH 9.3; 30 s x 50 mbar; 25 degrees C; 30 kV; 350 nm), but not for the other biological fluids, according to lower sensitivity of the method and because of the sample composition.  相似文献

Two-fluid model used for free surface flows with large characteristic scales is improved; the smeared interface is sharpened with conservative level set method and the surface tension force with wetting angle is implemented. Surface tension force is split between two phases with several models. Detailed analysis showed the splitting of surface tension force with volume averaging as the most appropriate. The improved two-fluid model with interface sharpening and implemented surface tension is validated on several test cases. The pressure jump over a droplet interface test case showed that the pressure jump in simulation converges with grid refinement to the analytical one. The parasitic currents in simulation are one order of magnitude larger than in simulation with volume of fluid model. In the oscillating droplet test case the time period of oscillating droplet with initially ellipsoid or square shape is similar to the analytical time period. In the rising bubble test case, the rising bubble position, terminal velocity, and circularity are similar to the one observed in simulations with level set model. The wetting angle is implemented in the two-fluid model with interface sharpening and surface tension force. Model is tested in the simulation of droplet in contact with wall with different wetting angles.  相似文献
