A DUAL-BEAM SOURCE OF ACTINIC LIGHT FOR PHOTOSYNTHESIS RESEARCH   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1  
Abstract— A dual-beam source for providing illumination of white or nearly monochromatic light for photosynthesis studies is presented. The device provides programmed, repetitive sample illumination with variable intensity, pulse duration and sequence and a means of monitoring that program. It utilizes a lamp with an integral heat rejecting reflector, and a fiber optic bundle which efficiently transmits the light, diffusely and evenly illuminating the sample.  相似文献

The shape optimization problem governed by the Euler equations is posed in a fixed reference plane. The boundary control is exerted by a parametric mapping from the physical plane to the reference fixed plane. The adjoint equations are derived in such fixed plane. By using this approach remeshing is unnecessary; furthermore, as in many practical applications the parametric mapping can be easily differentiated, the computation of mesh sensitivities is avoided.  相似文献

The Multiple-Scale Method is applied directly to a one-dimensional continuous model to derive the equations governing the asymptotic dynamic of the system around a bifurcation point. The theory is illustrated with reference to a specific example, namely an internally constrained planar beam, equipped with a lumped viscoelastic device and loaded by a follower force. Nonlinear, integro-differential equations of motion are derived and expanded up to cubic terms in the transversal displacements and velocities of the beam. They are put in an operator form incorporating the mechanical boundary conditions, which account for the lumped viscoelastic device; the problem is thus governed by mixed algebraic-integro-differential operators. The linear stability of the trivial equilibrium is first studied. It reveals the existence of divergence, Hopf and double-zero bifurcations. The spectral properties of the linear operator and its adjoint are studied at the bifurcation points by obtaining closed-form expressions. Notably, the system is defective at the double-zero point, thus entailing the need to find a generalized eigenvector. A multiple-scale analysis is then performed for the three bifurcations and the relevant bifurcation equations are derived directly in their normal forms. Preliminary numerical results are illustrated for the double-zero bifurcation.  相似文献

Low-energy solar neutrino detection plays a fundamental role in understanding both solar astrophysics and particle physics. After introducing the open questions on both fields, we review here the major results of the last two years and expectations for the near future from Borexino, Super-Kamiokande, SNO and KamLAND experiments as well as from upcoming (SNO+) and planned (LENA) experiments. Scintillator neutrino detectors are also powerful antineutrino detectors which can detect neutrinos emitted by the Earth crust and mantle. First measurements of geoneutrinos have occurred which can bring fundamental contribution in understanding the geophysics of the planet.  相似文献
