Reliable kinetic and thermodynamic data are required to model the evolution of electric discharge or electron-beam decomposition chemistry of gases in humid air streams. In this first segment of a continuing series, we provide a core database describing the initially dominant ion-neutral molecule reactions in humid air plasmas. Recommended reaction rate data and extrapolation tools are presented in a manner to facilitate prediction of reactivities and reaction channels as a function of temperature, pressure, and applied electric field.  相似文献

Reactions of [Rh(κ2O,O‐acac)(PMe3)2] (acac=acetylacetonato) and α,ω‐bis(arylbutadiynyl)alkanes afford two isomeric types of MC4 metallacycles with very different photophysical properties. As a result of a [2+2] reductive coupling at Rh, 2,5‐bis(arylethynyl)rhodacyclopentadienes ( A ) are formed, which display intense fluorescence (Φ=0.07–0.54, τ=0.2–2.5 ns) despite the presence of the heavy metal atom. Rhodium biphenyl complexes ( B ), which show exceptionally long‐lived (hundreds of μs) phosphorescence (Φ=0.01–0.33) at room temperature in solution, have been isolated as a second isomer originating from an unusual [4+2] cycloaddition reaction and a subsequent β‐H‐shift. We attribute the different photophysical properties of isomers A and B to a higher excited state density and a less stabilized T1 state in the biphenyl complexes B , allowing for more efficient intersystem crossing S1→Tn and T1→S0. Control of the isomer distribution is achieved by modification of the bis‐ (diyne) linker length, providing a fundamentally new route to access photoactive metal biphenyl compounds.  相似文献

A spheromak is formed for the first time using a new steady state inductive helicity injection method. Using two inductive injectors with odd symmetry and oscillating at 5.8 kHz, a steady state spheromak with even symmetry is formed and sustained through nonlinear relaxation. A spheromak with about 13 kA of toroidal current is formed and sustained using about 3 MW of power. This is a much lower power threshold for spheromak production than required for electrode-based helicity injection. Internal magnetic probe data, including oscillations driven by the injectors, agree with the plasma being in the Taylor state. The agreement is remarkable considering the only fitting parameter is the amplitude of the spheromak component of the state.  相似文献

The structure and energetics of protonated p-benzoquinone (pBQ) have been investigated using high-pressure mass spectrometry and ab initio calculations. The experimental proton affinity of pBQ is 801.4 +/- 8.9 kJ/mol (191.5 +/- 2.1 kcal/mol) (1sigma) from bracketing measurements and hydration thermochemistry. This value is supported by theory and by analogies with related compounds. In its protonation chemistry, pBQ behaves as an aliphatic ketone, both structurally and energetically. The dissociation of the hydrate (pBQH(+)).(H(2)O) is characterized by DeltaH degrees (D) = 90.0 +/- 2.3 kJ/mol and DeltaS degrees (D) = 123.4 +/- 4.9 J/mol.K (95% confidence).  相似文献

The absolute thermal rate coefficient for the reaction NH3+ + NH3 → NH4+ + NH2 has been determined experimentally for the first time for NH3+ (ν = 0) reactant ions. An increase in Evib results in a decrease in the rate coefficient for proton transfer.  相似文献

A novel methodology for facile production of α-cyano chalcones under microwave irradiation is described. Utilizing a Knoevenagel condensation between benzoylacetonitriles and aromatic aldehydes, substituted chalcones are generated via a 15-min, one-pot synthesis. Diversification of aromatic groups, including electron-withdrawing, electron-donating, and heterocyclic substitutions, has led to the isolation of over twenty colored, solid chalcone products. Furthermore the methodology can be extended to the synthesis of benzylidenemalononitriles as well as methyl and ethyl α-cyano cinnamates.  相似文献

N‐heterocyclic carbenes (NHCs) and cyclic (alkyl)(amino)carbenes (CAACs) are of great interest, as their electronic and steric properties provide a unique class of ligands and organocatalysts. Herein, substitution reactions involving novel carbonyl complexes of rhodium and nickel were studied to provide a deeper understanding of the fundamental electronic factors characterizing CAACmethyl, which were compared with the large array of data available for NHC and sterically more demanding CAAC ligands.  相似文献

The reactons of (CO2)2+ and (CO)2+ with various additives have been investigated using the NBS high-pressure photoionization mass spectrometer at total pressures of 0.4–1.0 torr of either CO2 or CO. The additives include CH4, CD4, C2H2, O2, H2O, 15,14N2O, and CO in both CO2 and 13CO2. Second- and third-order rate coefficients based on an ambipolar diffusion model are reported for 25 separate reaction pairs at 295°K, as well as sequential cationic reaction mechanisms. An approximate value of 225 ± 3 kcal/mol (941 ± 13 kJ/mol) was derived for ΔHf (CO)2+ based on the kinetics observed in various CO-additive mixtures. Some projections regarding the utility of the data under other conditions are also included.  相似文献
