A comprehensive method for the construction of a high‐mannose‐type glycan library by systematic chemo‐enzymatic trimming of a single Man9‐based precursor was developed. It consists of the chemical synthesis of a non‐natural tridecasaccharide precursor, the orthogonal demasking of the non‐reducing ends, and trimming by glycosidases, which enabled a comprehensive synthesis of high‐mannose‐type glycans in their mono‐ or non‐glucosylated forms. It employed glucose, isopropylidene, and N‐acetylglucosamine groups for blocking the A‐, B‐, and C‐arms, respectively. After systematic trimming of the precursor, thirty‐seven high‐mannose‐type glycans were obtained. The power of the methodology was demonstrated by the enzymatic activity of human recombinant N‐acetylglucosaminyltransferase‐I toward M7–M3 glycans, clarifying the substrate specificity in the context of high‐mannose‐type glycans. 相似文献

An ESR study has been made on the course of grafting of tetrafluoroethylene onto polyethylene. Alkyl and allyl radicals trapped in the polymers were measured under various grafting conditions. It was observed that alkyl radicals decay very rapidly when monomers are in contact with the irradiated polymer, while allyl radicals decay very slowly even in the presence of monomers as in the decay of radicals in irradiated polymers without monomers. The effect of pre-irradiation temperature on grafting was also studied, and the rate of grafting was found to be much faster for lower pre-irradiation temperatures. From these experimental results it was concluded that alkyl radicals play an important Tole in the initiation reaction of grafting. 相似文献

In recent years, there has been considerable interest in satellite-ground laser communication due to an increase in the quantity of data exchanged between satellites and the ground. However, improving the quality of this data communication is necessary as laser communication is vulnerable to air fluctuation. We first verify the spatial and temporal averaging effects using light beam intensity images acquired from middle-range transmission experiments between two ground positions and the superposition of these images using simulations. Based on these results, we propose a compact and lightweight optical duplicate system as a multi-beam generation device with which it is easy to apply the spatial averaging effect. Although an optical duplicate system is already used for optical correlation operations, we present optimum design solutions, design a compact optical duplicate system for satellite-ground laser communications, and demonstrate the efficacy of this system using simulations. 相似文献

The nominal stress–strain relationships of industrial rubber materials under multiaxial deformation are essential for precisely determining the constitutive laws of those materials. This paper proposes a new method for precisely estimating the nominal stress–stretch relationships of carbon-black-filled styrene butadiene rubbers (SBRs) under uniaxial tension, pure shear, and equibiaxial tension by using an in-plane biaxial tensile tester. The proposed method employs sheet-shaped rubber samples with notches for the pure-shear and equibiaxial tension tests to mitigate the influence of non-uniform deformation around the clamps. Finite element analysis and biaxial tensile tests were performed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. Performance evaluations based on both numerical calculations and experiments revealed that the proposed method enabled the precise calculation of the nominal stress–stretch relationship for uniform deformation from a tensile load and deformation of the reference area defined at the center of the samples. 相似文献

Hyaluronic acid and chondroitin were successfully synthesized as representative molecules of glucosaminoglycans and galactosaminoglycans found in a glycosaminoglycan family via enzymatic polymerization catalyzed by testicular hyaluronidases. A newly designed N-acetylhyalobiuronate oxazoline derivative with a β-D -glucuronyl-(1→3)-N-acetyl-D -glucosamine disaccharide structure served as a transition-state analogue substrate monomer for the enzyme, giving rise to artificial hyaluronic acid in 52% yields with a number-average molecular weight of 1.35 × 104 through ring-opening polyaddition in a perfect regioselective and stereoselective manner. A novel N-acetylchondrosine oxazoline derivative with a β-D -glucuronyl-(1→3)-N-acetyl-D -galactosamine disaccharide structure also acted as a transition-state analogue substrate monomer for the enzyme, yielding artificial chondroitin in 35% yields with a number-average molecular weight of 2.5 × 103. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
