Metal complexes ([ML2], where M = Fe, Co, or Zn; HL = 2-[(6-ethyl-5-oxo-4,5-dihydro-2H-[1,2,4]triazin-3-ylidene)-hydrazono]-butyric acid, C9H13N5O3) of a Schiff base derived from α-ketobutyric acid (α-KBA) and diaminoguanidine (Damgu) were synthesized and characterized using elemental, spectral, and thermal studies. The metal complexes exhibited similar decomposition behavior, with a highly exothermic final decomposition step resulting in the formation of metal oxides. Isomorphism among the complexes was revealed using a powder X-ray diffraction (PXRD) technique. Solid solution precursors ([Zn1/3M2/3(L)2], where M = Fe, Co) were synthesized and characterized using various physico-chemical techniques. A thermal decomposition technique was used to prepare spinel-type zinc cobaltite (ZnCo2O4) and zinc ferrite (ZnFe2O4) nanocrystalline particles with the synthesized single source precursors. Structural studies using PXRD ascertained the predominant crystal phase to be spinel. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and high-resolution TEM (HRTEM) showed a mean nanoparticle size of 18 ± 2 nm. Magnetic measurements revealed a weak magnetic behavior in the synthesized spinels. In the aqueous phase, the spinels exhibited catalytic activity, reducing 4-nitrophenol (4-NP) in the presence of NaBH4 at room temperature. In recent years, there is emerging evidence that isoflavonoids, either dietary or obtained from traditional medicinal plants, could play an important role as a supplementary drug in the management of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) due to their reported pronounced biological effects in relation to multiple metabolic factors associated with diabetes. Hence, in this regard, we have comprehensively reviewed the potential biological effects of isoflavonoids, particularly biochanin A, genistein, daidzein, glycitein, and formononetin on metabolic disorders and long-term complications induced by T2DM in order to understand whether they can be future candidates as a safe antidiabetic agent. Based on in-depth in vitro and in vivo studies evaluations, isoflavonoids have been found to activate gene expression through the stimulation of peroxisome proliferator-activated receptors (PPARs) (α, γ), modulate carbohydrate metabolism, regulate hyperglycemia, induce dyslipidemia, lessen insulin resistance, and modify adipocyte differentiation and tissue metabolism. Moreover, these natural compounds have also been found to attenuate oxidative stress through the oxidative signaling process and inflammatory mechanism. Hence, isoflavonoids have been envisioned to be able to prevent and slow down the progression of long-term diabetes complications including cardiovascular disease, nephropathy, neuropathy, and retinopathy. Further thoroughgoing investigations in human clinical studies are strongly recommended to obtain the optimum and specific dose and regimen required for supplementation with isoflavonoids and derivatives in diabetic patients. 相似文献

This paper reports a simple methodology for the synthesis of a polyaniline/titanium oxide/graphene hybrid (Pani/TiO2/GN) using a simple methodology, and their application as a supercapacitor electrode material for energy storage. The Pani/TiO2/GN hybrid was prepared by a simple approach by simultaneous generation of Pani and TiO2 in situ from aniline and titanium iso-propoxide, respectively, in the presence of GN under ice bath conditions. The incorporation of GN improved the electrical conductivity of Pani and helped to decrease the charge transfer resistance, whereas TiO2 generation by an in situ method increased the surface area considerably and enhanced the capacitance of the Pani/TiO2/GN hybrid. TEM showed that Pani and TiO2 were well incorporated and coated on the GN successfully. The shift of the peaks in the FTIR spectrum and XRD pattern of the Pani/TiO2/GN hybrid compared to their pure counterparts suggested that TiO2 and Pani had been perfectly coated on the GN, and there was a strong interaction among Pani, GN, and TiO2 particles. The electrochemical performance of the as-prepared Pani/TiO2/GN hybrid electrode showed a high specific capacitance of 403.2 F g?1 at a current density of 2 A g?1 and excellent cycling stability for up to 1000 cycles. This suggested that the effective incorporation of GN and TiO2 into Pani and the high surface area could simultaneously increase the electrochemical capacitance and cyclic stability of the Pani/TiO2/GN hybrid, leading to superior electrochemical performance. 相似文献

A new boron doped diamond microcells (BDD) was modified, for rapid, selective and highly sensitive determination of nitrite, using a coating film of polyoxometalates (POMs), formed by cyclic voltammetry on the molecular p‐phenylenediamine (PPD) functionalized BDD. The scanning electron microscopy (SEM) technique was used to examine the morphology of (PPD/SiW11) modified (BDD) electrode. It was found that (SiW11) layer was uniformly formed on the electrode surface. It was observed that (BDD/PPD/SiW11) showed excellent electrocatalytic activities towards nitrite ion. Under the selected conditions, the anodic peak maximum at ?0.6 V was linear versus nitrite concentration in the 40 µM–4 mM range, and the detection limit obtained was 20 µM. The newly developed electrode has been successfully applied to the determination of nitrite content in real river water samples. 相似文献

Preparation, characterization, and catalytic properties of bimetallic coordination polymer constructed from 2‐aminoterephthalic acid as linker, zinc cations as node, and cis‐dioxo molybdenum units as catalytic active sites are reported via two pathways. Molybdenum centers were placed in N,O positions created by condensation reaction of 2‐aminoterephthalic acid with salicylaldehyde while zinc cations coordinated via carboxylic acid groups of linker to achieve infinite chains of metalo‐ligand. The obtained coordination polymer was fully characterized and its catalytic properties in the epoxidation of olefins with tert‐butyl hydroperoxide (TBHP) described. In comparison with previously reported heterogenized molybdenum catalysts, this new coordination polymer exhibited good conversion as well as high selectivity in the epoxidation of olefins. The catalyst is stable under ambient conditions and could be reused as active catalyst for at least five times. 相似文献

Ultrasonic velocity, density, refractive index and viscosity of binary mixtures of aniline with acetic acid (AA) and propionic
acid (PA) have been measured at 293.15, 303.15 and 313.15 K over the entire composition range. Further, the specific heat
ratio, heat capacity, effective Debye temperature and pseudo-Gruensisen parameter and non-linearity parameter have been evaluated

free length, deviation in molar refraction, deviation in viscosity, relaxation time, enthalpy, entropy and Gibbs energy of
activation have been calculated from the experimental data and fitted with the Redlich-Kister polynomial equation. A comparative
study has also been made between experimental and theoretically calculated values of densities using the HBT and Rackett density

The synthesis of the first series of 5-alkoxy-1,3-thiazole-based liquid crystals is reported. The aforementioned liquid crystals were synthesised through a Lawesson's reagent-mediated cyclisation of appropriate α-benzamido esters. This methodology was found to be highly efficient, even on a large scale, and the resulting 5-alkoxy-1,3-thiazoles could be purified without the use of column chromatography. The synthesis and mesomorphic properties of a family of 5-alkoxy-2-(4-cyanophenyl)-1,3-thiazole liquid crystals prepared via this approach are discussed and compared with their thiophene and phenyl analogues. 相似文献
