The ternary catalyst Pt75Ru5Ni20 was conducted on various types of carbon supports including functionalized Vulcan XC-72R (f-CB), functionalized multi-walled carbon nanotubes (f-MWCNT), and mesoporous carbon (PC-Zn-succinic) by sodium borohydride chemical reduction method to improve the ethanol electrooxidation reaction (EOR) for direct ethanol fuel cell (DEFC). It was found that the particle size of the metals on f-MWCNT was 5.20 nm with good particle dispersion. The alloy formation of ternary catalyst was confirmed by XRD and more clearly described by SEM element mapping, which was relevant to the efficiency of the catalysts. Moreover, the mechanism of ethanol electrooxidation reaction based on the surface reaction was more understanding. The activity and stability for ethanol electrooxidation reaction (EOR) were investigated using cyclic voltammetry and chronoamperometry, respectively. The highest activity and stability for EOR were observed from Pt75Ru5Ni20/f-MWCNT due to a good metal-carbon interaction. Ru and Ni presented in Pt-Ru-Ni alloy improved the activity and stability of ternary catalysts for EOR. Moreover, the reduction of Pt content in ternary catalyst led to the catalyst cost deduction in DEFC.  相似文献

Amino acid modified chitooligosaccharides were synthesized by the new synthetic route. The chloroacetyl-chitooliogosaccharide intermediates were prepared under a mild condition via a reaction between chitooligosaccharide (COS) and chloroacetic anhydride. The intermediates were subsequently reacted with a variety of amino acids, e.g., glycine, aspartic acid, alanine, arginine, and serine, under a basic condition, yielding amino acid modified COS products. The degree of chloroacetylation was calculated based on new 1H NMR absorption peaks at 3.80 and 3.94 ppm, corresponding to  NH CO CH2 Cl and  O CO CH2 Cl, respectively. The degrees of chloroacetylation determined were 0.40, 0.44, 0.62, and 0.93 when the mole ratios of chloroacetic anhydride to COS were 0.5, 1, 2, and 4, respectively. The chemical structures of the COS derivatives were also determined using 1H NMR spectroscopy. The biological properties of the derivatives were evaluated. Cytotoxicity of the derivatives was assessed by a direct contact, using L929 cells. An MTT assay was a method of choice to evaluate the efficacy of the derivatives to enhance the proliferation of L929 cells.  相似文献

This study investigated the cancer chemopreventive effects of an acidic methanol extract of purple rice husk on chemically induced carcinogenesis in rats. This purple rice husk extract (PRHE) had high polyphenol contents. Vanillic acid was a major phenolic compound in PRHE. Three major anthocyanins found in PRHE were malvidin-3-glucoside, peonidin-3-glucoside and cyanidin-3-glucoside. PRHE was not toxic and clastogenic in rats. The LD50 of PRHE was greater than 2000 mg kg−1 body weight (BW). The oral administration of 300 or 1000 mg kg−1 BW of PRHE for 28 days significantly decreased the number of micronucleated hepatocytes in diethylnitrosamine-initiated rats. The inhibitory mechanisms were associated with the reduction of cytochrome P450 2E1 expression and induction of some detoxifying enzymes in the liver. In addition, treatment with 500 mg kg−1 BW of PRHE for eight weeks did not induce preneoplastic lesions in the liver and colon. It significantly inhibited hepatic glutathione-S-transferase positive foci formation induced by diethylnitrosamine and 1,2-dimethylhydrazine by suppression of hepatocyte proliferation and induction of apoptosis. In conclusion, PRHE did not present toxicity, clastogenicity or carcinogenicity in rats. It exhibited cancer chemopreventive properties against chemically induced early stages rat hepatocarcinogenesis. Anthocyanins and vanillic acid might be candidate anticarcinogenic compounds in purple rice husk.  相似文献

A comprehensive platform that integrates information from the protein and peptide levels by combining various MS techniques has been employed for the analysis of proteins in fully malignant human breast cancer cells. The cell lysates were subjected to chromatofocusing fractionation, followed by tryptic digestion of pH fractions for on-line monolithic RP-HPLC interfaced with linear ion trap MS analysis for rapid protein identification. This unique approach of direct analysis of pH fractions resulted in the identification of large numbers of proteins from several selected pH fractions, in which approximately 1.5 microg of each of the pH fraction digests was consumed for an analysis time of ca 50 min. In order to combine valuable information retained at the protein level with the protein identifications obtained from the peptide level information, the same pH fraction was analyzed using nonporous (NPS)-RP-HPLC/ESI-TOF MS to obtain intact protein MW measurements. In order to further validate the protein identification procedures from the fraction digest analysis, NPS-RP-HPLC separation was performed for off-line protein collection to closely examine each protein using MALDI-TOF MS and MALDI-quadrupole ion trap (QIT)-TOF MS, and excellent agreement of protein identifications was consistently observed. It was also observed that the comparison to intact MW and other MS information was particularly useful for analyzing proteins whose identifications were suggested by one sequenced peptide from fraction digest analysis.  相似文献

Abstract

Four new benzoyltyramines, atalantums H-K (14) and seven known compounds were isolated from the peels of Atalantia monophylla. All compounds were tested for cytotoxicity against HeLa, HCT116 and MCF-7 cell lines, as well as normal cells (Vero cells). Compound 5 showed cytotoxicity against HeLa, HCT116 and MCF-7 cell lines with IC50 values ranging from 16-25?μg/mL but was inactive against Vero cells. Compound 6 also showed interesting results as compound 5 with IC50 values ranging from 15-18?μg/mL and an IC50 value of 80.20?μg/mL against Vero cells. This means compounds 5 and 6 can be used as lead compounds for anticancer agents.  相似文献
