The preliminary studies on thermal behavior of differently aged natural resins from Russia (Khatanga), Dominican Republic (El Valle), Colombia and Poland (Jantar) were performed. Thermal stability and behavior under elevated temperature were investigated by thermogravimetry (TG) and differential scanning calorimetry (DSC), while the differences in the structure and composition by FT-IR spectroscopy. Analyzed resins show different thermal effects during heating suggesting that possible post-reactions and structural changes occurred. TG results indicated that Dominican, Russian and Colombian resins present relatively high thermal stability under air conditions in the range of 228–300 °C, whereas the mass loss of 5mass% at about 217 °C was observed for Baltic amber. During DSC experiments, the analyzed resins expose thermal events which make impossible determination of glass transition temperature in a raw sample. The results indicate that both TG and DSC cannot be considered as methods for age dating of natural resins and more advanced techniques should be applied. Careful analysis of FT-IR data in the carbonyl region may provide additional information about the composition and history of the natural resin.

Pairs (V, V′) of commuting, completely non doubly commuting isometries are studied. We show, that the space of the minimal unitary extension of V (denoted by U) is a closed linear span of subspaces reducing U to bilateral shifts. Moreover, the restriction of V′ to the maximal subspace reducing V to a unitary operator is a unilateral shift. We also get a new hyperreducing decomposition of a single isometry with respect to its wandering vectors which strongly corresponds with Lebesgue decomposition.  相似文献

In this work, isothermal crystallization kinetics of polyoxymethylene copolymer (POM) in POM/hydroxyapatite (HAp) nanocomposites has been investigated. Melting behavior and crystalline structure formation were studied using TOPEM DSC, positron lifetime spectroscopy (PALS), atomic force microscopy (AFM) and 13C and 31P solid‐state NMR. The highest degree of crystallinity was found for POM/0.5% HAp nanocomposite and the lowest for POM/2.5% HAp. Isothermal crystallization analysis showed that an introduction of HAp nanoparticles led to effective heterogeneous nucleation and formation of crystals with higher Avrami exponent. Besides, changes in overall crystallization rate were observed – the highest overall crystallization rate was found for POM/0.5% HAp sample, while the lowest for POM/2.5% HAp was observed. Generally, for POM in POM/HAp nanocomposites, a significant decrease in nucleation activation energy (Kg), and the fold surface free energy (σe) was found. For nanocomposite containing 2.5% HAp, heterogeneous nucleation takes place as well, but too high concentration of nanoparticles hinders POM crystallization and enhances formation of more defected crystals as confirmed by AFM data. The presence of HAp nanoparticles in the POM matrix was confirmed by 31P MAS‐NMR, but their influence on the crystallization process was not observed in the 13C CP‐MAS‐NMR spectra. Poly(vinyl chloride) (PVC) nanocomposites with sodium montmorillonite (Na-MMT) and organically modified MMT (O-MMT) have been prepared by melt processing using mixing and extrusion techniques. The differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) with stochastic temperature modulation (TOPEM?) results show that the glass transition temperature (T g) of PVC is slightly higher than T g of PVC/Na-MMT and PVC/O-MMT which would indicate that MMT plays a role of an internal plasticizer that increases the distance between the PVC macrochains. The DSC TOPEM non-reversing heat flow profiles show enthalpy relaxation effects, and the lowest value has been found for pristine PVC—the presence of MMT (both Na+ and ammonium salt modified) may generate a certain orientation level of PVC macrochains during the extrusion process. Specific heat vs temperature dependencies at different frequencies revealed that the best fit to the single profile was found for PVC/Na-MMT nanocomposite, and this observation may be related to internal stability of the composite material as confirmed by analysis of the change in the specific heat (Δc p).  相似文献
