Kurze Originalarbeiten: Zur Reindarstellung von tritiummarkierten Pyrimidinderivaten 1. Mitt. Markierung von 5-Hydroxyuracil und 5-Aminouracil durch katalytischen II-T-Austausch

Zur Vervollkommung der strahlenchemischen Technologie für die Herstellung einiger für die Industrie wichtiger silizium-organischer Monomere und zur Durchführung von Forschungs-arbeiten auf diesem Gebiet wurde eine Pilot-Anlage unter Verwendung des Elektronenbeschleunigers EU-0,4 geschaffen, der im Physikalisch-chemischen Forschungsinstitut ?L. J. Karpow“ auf der Grundlago des Rōntgendefektoskopie-Gerātes RUP-400-5 entwickelt wurde.     

A Tetrameric Cage with D2h Symmetry through Alkyne Metathesis

Shape‐persistent covalent organic polyhedrons (COPs) with ethynylene linkers are usually prepared through kinetically controlled cross‐coupling reactions. The high‐yielding synthesis of ethynylene‐linked rigid tetrameric cages via one‐step alkyne metathesis from readily accessible triyne precursors is presented. The tetrameric cage contains two macrocyclic panels and exhibits D_2h symmetry. The assembly of such a COP is a thermodynamically controlled process, which involves the initial formation of macrocycles as key intermediates followed by the connection of two macrocycles with ethynylene linkages. With a large internal cavity, the cage exhibits a high binding selectivity toward C₇₀ (K=3.9×10³ L mol^?1) over C₆₀ (no noticeable binding).     

A mathematical model for continuous crystallization

J. Banasiak We discuss a mixed‐suspension, mixed‐product removal crystallizer operated at thermodynamic equilibrium. We derive and discuss the mathematical model based on population and mass balance equations and prove local existence and uniqueness of solutions using the method of characteristics. We also discuss the global existence of solutions for continuous and batch mode. Finally, a numerical simulation of a continuous crystallizer in steady state is presented. Nonsmooth Bundle Trust-region Algorithm with Applications to Robust Stability

We propose a bundle trust-region algorithm to minimize locally Lipschitz functions which are potentially nonsmooth and nonconvex. We prove global convergence of our method and show by way of an example that the classical convergence argument in trust-region methods based on the Cauchy point fails in the nonsmooth setting. Our method is tested experimentally on three problems in automatic control.
