Vibrational circular dichroism (VCD) studies are reported on a chiral compound in which a fullerene C60 moiety is used as an electron acceptor and local VCD amplifier for an alanine-based peptide chain. Four redox states are investigated in this study, of which three are reduced species that possess low-lying electronic states as confirmed by UV/Vis spectroelectrochemistry. VCD measurements in combination with (TD)DFT calculations are used to investigate (i) how the low-lying electronic states of the reduced species modulate the amplification of VCD signals, (ii) how this amplification depends on the distance between oscillator and amplifier, and (iii) how the spatial extent of the amplifier influences amplification. These results pave the way for further development of tailored molecular VCD amplifiers. 相似文献

We report on a bistable MEMS device actuated by spin-crossover molecules. The device consists of a freestanding silicon microcantilever with an integrated piezoresistive detection system, which was coated with a 140 nm thick film of the [Fe(HB(tz)3)2] (tz=1,2,4-triazol-1-yl) molecular spin-crossover complex. Switching from the low-spin to the high-spin state of the ferrous ions at 338 K led to a reversible upward bending of the cantilever in agreement with the change in the lattice parameters of the complex. The strong mechanical coupling was also evidenced by the decrease of approximately 66 Hz in the resonance frequency in the high-spin state as well as by the drop in the quality factor around the spin transition. 相似文献

In this paper we are concerned with the study of a nonstandard quasi-hemivariational inequality. Using a fixed point theorem for set-valued mappings the existence of at least one solution in bounded closed and convex subsets is established. We also provide sufficient conditions for which our inequality possesses solutions in the case of unbounded sets. potential theoretical methods. We establish a Feynman-Kac formula associated with measures charging no polar set and belonging
to an extended Kato class. A main tool of this approach is the validity of a Khas’minskii Lemma for Stieltjes exponentials
of positive left continuous additive functionals.

Novel supports based on carboxymethylcellulose (CMC), crosslinked with epichlorohydrin (EPC), and microparticles based on acetylphthalylcellulose (APC), for sustained‐release of isosorbide dinitrate (Isoket, Ik), were obtained. The drug has been included into CMC hydrogels through diffusion from ethanol‐water solution. Studies about the ethanol–water ratio influence on including the drug have shown an increased amount of included drug at higher content of water in the alcohol‐water mixture. Isoket–ACP microparticles have been obtained by drug and polymer co‐precipitation from emulsified aqueous solution. The kinetics for “in vitro” release of Ik from polymeric materials, in simulated conditions for intestinal tract medium, where the drug is preferentially absorbed, has been analyzed. The experimental data have shown a “zero” order kinetic for drug release, which is characteristic for systems controlled by diffusion. 相似文献

In the present paper, the reaction of chemical immobilization of catalase on a crosslinked macromolecular carrier of a polysaccharide structure (gellan) is studied. The influence of some reaction parameters (enzyme/carrier, activator/carrier ratios, duration) on the activity of enzymatic products is analyzed. We give general conditions on a generator of a C0-semigroup (resp. of a C0-resolvent) on Lp(E,μ), p ≥ 1, where E is an arbitrary (Lusin) topological space and μ a σ-finite measure on its Borel σ-algebra, so that it generates a sufficiently
regular Markov process on E. We present a general method how these conditions can be checked in many situations. Applications to solve stochastic differential
equations on Hilbert space in the sense of a martingale problem are given.

We answer to a question of P.J. Fitzsimmons and R.K. Getoor concerning the characterization of a strongly supermedian function by the property of being universally supermedian. Based on the Revuz correspondence we also prove (alternatively to the probabilistic approach of Fitzsimmons and Getoor) that the Radon–Nikodym derivative between the Revuz measures of a semiregular excessive kernel and the regular strongly supermedian kernel generating it, does not depend on the kernel.
