ABSTRACT We demonstrate that Ullman fragment-coupling can be used to synthesise an oxacalix[4]arene monocarboxylic acid, which provides easy access to its water-soluble carboxylato derivatives. Crystallographic and computational data suggest that the new carboxyl-substituted oxacalix[4]arene adopts a 1,3-alternate conformation both in the solid-state and in methanol solution. Its water-soluble tetrabutylammonium derivate can detect the herbicide paraquat at neutral pH in aqueous media (K a = 111 ± 3 M–1) and in methanol (K a = 2020 ± 70 M–1). 相似文献

We present a new approach for determining the strength of the dipolar solute‐induced reaction field, along with the ground‐ and excited‐state electrostatic dipole moments and polarizability of a solvated chromophore, using exclusively one‐photon and two‐photon absorption measurements. We verify the approach on two benchmark chromophores N,N‐dimethyl‐6‐propionyl‐2‐naphthylamine (prodan) and coumarin 153 (C153) in a series of toluene/dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) mixtures and find that the experimental values show good quantitative agreement with literature and our quantum‐chemical calculations. Our results indicate that the reaction field varies in a surprisingly broad range, 0–107 V cm?1, and that at close proximity, on the order of the chromophore radius, the effective dielectric constant of the solute–solvent system displays a unique functional dependence on the bulk dielectric constant, offering new insight into the close‐range molecular interaction. 相似文献

Cyclic alkyl(amino)carbene-stabilized (cyano)hydroboryl anions were synthesized by deprotonation of (cyano)dihydroborane precursors. The diborene 1 was synthesized by reduction of a mixture of 1,2-di-9-anthryl-1,2-dibromodiborane(4) ( 6 ) and trimethylphosphine with potassium graphite. The X-ray structure of 1 shows the two anthryl rings to be parallel and their π(C14) systems perpendicular to the diborene π(B=B) system. This twisted conformation allows for intercalation of the relatively high-lying π(B=B) orbital and the low-lying π* orbital of the anthryl moiety with no significant conjugation, resulting in a small HOMO–LUMO gap (HLG) and ultimately a C−H borylation of the anthryl unit. The HLG of 1 was estimated to be 1.57 eV from the onset of the long wavelength band in its UV/Vis absorption spectrum (THF, λonset=788 nm). The oxidation of 1 with elemental selenium afforded diboraselenirane 8 in quantitative yield. By oxidative abstraction of one phosphine ligand by another equivalent of elemental selenium, the B−B and C1−H bonds of 8 were cleaved to give the cyclic 1,9-diborylanthracene 9 . 相似文献

The reaction of aryl‐ and amino(dihydro)boranes with dibora[2]ferrocenophane 1 leads to the formation 1,3‐trans‐dihydrotriboranes by formal hydrogenation and insertion of a borylene unit into the B=B bond. nanometric layers are deposited from hexamethyldisiloxane by atmospheric pressure
microwave plasma torch on Si(100) substrates submitted to temperatures varying on the
range [0 °C; 120 °C]. Atomic force microscopy (AFM) characterizations of samples grown at
intermediate substrate temperatures (~30 °C) demonstrate a layer-by-layer
growth (Frank van der Merwe growth) leading to smooth flat and compact films while films
deposited at lower and higher substrates temperatures show an island-like growth
(Volmer-Weber growth) generating a high surface roughness. Concomitantly, a detailed
infrared spectroscopy analysis of the growing films evidences structural modifications due
to changes in the bond types, Si-O-Si conformation and stoichiometry correlated with
scanning electron microscopy and AFM characterizations. Then, deposition conditions and
specific microstructure are selected with the aim of generating 3-dimensional

x

nanostructure arrays on nanoindented Si (100) templates. The first results are
