Heterostructures of TiO2 with a biscyanine dye were obtained, and their photocatalytic activity in the reduction of methylene blue was investigated.
The results from analysis of the spectral parameters showed that the decrease of activity with increase of the dye content
results from weakening of its interaction with the semiconductor.

We have established the high catalytic activity of TiO2, modified by Pd2+, Cu2+, Fe3+, and Co2+ ions, in reduction of Cu2+ ions by formaldehyde in solution. We propose a likely scheme for the electronic processes that occur, including injection of electrons from the reducing agent into the conduction band and formation of metallic nanoparticles on the surface that effectively catalyze deposition of metallic copper. 相似文献

was examined, and a scheme of transformations was proposed.

Relationships were obtained between the photocatalytic activity (PCA), absorption spectra, electrical conductivity (σ), and
catalytic activity (CA) of oxides containing Zr4+ and Ti4+ and their quantitative and phase composition. It was found that the PCA and CA depend linearly on σ. The relation between
these characteristics and the effectiveness of their action in chemical reactions was studied.
