This work is based on the preparation of composites of poly(methylmethacrylate) with zinc oxide nanoparticles synthesized by solution casting method.

Chloroform cast poly(methylmethacrylate) films containing different amounts of ZnO nanoparticles were characterized by XRD, SEM, UV-vis spectroscopy, FTIR spectroscopy and TGA.

The results show that ZnO nanoparticles with a size of 24?nm were fairly dispersed in the polymer matrix. The obtained material had UV shielding capability with optical transparency. Thermal characterization shows that, the nanocomposites were more thermally stable than pure PMMA presenting three degradation steps. Apparent kinetic parameters were determined for each degradation step using peak fitting methodology. According to activation energies, ZnO particles affect simultaneously but oppositely the kinetics of underlying degradation reactions. Thermal stability of the PMMA/ZnO nanocomposites was the result of the overall balance in favor of the inhibiting effect of ZnO.  相似文献

The role of the trifluoromethyl group in reactivity, regio-, and stereoselectivity in cycloaddition reactions has been analyzed by studying the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition (13DC) reactions of nitrone 4 with 3,3,3-trifluoro-1-nitropropene 7b and 3,3,3-trifluoro-2-nitropropene 14 using density functional theory (DFT) methods at the B3LYP/6-311G(d) level. The recent M06-2X functional has also been evaluated but, although the thermodynamic performance is improved, the kinetic data are not necessarily better than those obtained by the popular B3LYP functional for cycloaddition reactions. Four reactive channels associated with the meta and ortho regio- and endo and exo stereoselective approach modes of the nitro group of these disubstituted ethylenes relative to nitrone 4 have been explored and characterized. Unlike other electron-withdrawing groups, the trifluoromethyl group increases the reactivity of the nitroethylene, but it does not modify the meta and endo selectivities when it is located at the β conjugated position of nitroethylene. Analysis of the global and local electrophilicity indices allows for an explanation of the role of the trifluoromethyl group in reactivity and regioselectivity of electrophilically activated ethylenes.  相似文献

The mechanism and regioselectivities and stereoselectivities of the [3 + 2] cycloaddition (32CA) reaction of 3‐(benzylideneamino) oxindole (AY) and trans‐β‐nitrostyrene have been studied using both B3LYP and ωB97XD density functional theory methods together with the standard 6‐31G(d) basis set. Four reactive pathways associated with the ortho and meta regioselective channels and endo and exo stereoselective approaches modes have been explored and characterized. While the B3LYP functional fails to predict the experimental regioselectivity, the ωB97XD one succeeds to predict the experimentally observed meta regioselectivity favoring the formation of meta/endo cycloadduct as the major isomer. Inclusion of solvent effects increases the regioselectivity and decreases the experimentally observed stereoselectivity. Analysis of the density functional theory global reactivity indices and the Parr functions of the reagents in its ground state allows explaining the reactivity and the meta regioselectivity of this zwitterionic‐type 32CA reaction, which account for the high polar character of this reaction. Non‐covalent interaction analysis of the most favorable meta/endo transition state structure reveals that the formation of a hydrogen‐bond between 1 nitro oxygen and the AY N–H hydrogen is responsible for the selectivity experimentally found in this polar zwitterionic‐type 32CA reaction.  相似文献

A DFT study of the (32CA) reaction of a series of some nitrile oxides with electron-deficient alkyne (3-phenylpropionlaldehyde) in gas phase and in toluene has been carried out using B3LYP functional with 6-31G(d) basis set. Two reactive channels 4- and 5-associated with the two regioisomeric modes have been located and characterised. These 32CA reactions are characterised by a low asynchronous one-step mechanism with a low-polar character. Analysis of the DFT reactivity indices indicates that the nucleophilic centre of the different nitrile oxides accounts for the 4-regioselectivity. Our calculations are in a good agreement with the experimental findings.  相似文献

A theoretical study of the regio- and stereoselectivities of the 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition of C-diethoxyphosphoryl-N-methylnitrone with substituted alkenes (allyl alcohol and methyl acrylate) is carried out using DFT at the B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) level of theory. The FMO analysis and DFT-based reactivity indices confirmed the experimental ortho regioisomeric pathway. Potential energy surface analysis shows that these 1,3-dipolar cycloaddition reactions favor the formation of the ortho-trans cycloadduct in both cases. The obtained results are in agreement with experimental data.  相似文献

The selectivity and the nature of the mechanism of the competitive Lewis acid catalysed [4+2]/[2+2] cycloaddition reactions of 1-methyl-1-phenylallene (MPA) with methylacrylate (MA) have been theoretically studied within the Molecular Electron Density Theory using DFT methods at the B3LYP/6-31G(d) theoretical level. DFT reactivity indices indicate that MPA is a strong nucleophile and the LA-MA complex is a strong electrophile. The coordination of LA to MA enhances the reaction rate and increases the asynchronicity of the [4+2] CA reaction, changes the nature of the mechanism from one step to stepwise for the [2+2] CA reaction and increases the polar character of these cycloaddition reactions, which become demands a relatively low activation energy. Analysis of different energy profiles indicates that these competitive LA-catalysed CA reactions favour the formation of a mixture of meta regioisomers in both types of cycloaddition, in which the [4+2] cycloadducts were obtained in majority amount, in agreement with the experiment. Analysis based on Electron Localisation Function topological shows that the favoured [4+2] CA reaction takes place through a non-concerted two-stage one-step mechanism.  相似文献

The selectivity and the nature of the molecular mechanism of the [3 + 2] cycloaddition (32CA) reaction of an azomethine imine (AI 12) with p‐nitrobenzylidenemalononitrile (NBMN, 13) have been theoretically studied within the Molecular Electron Density Theory using DFT methods at the MPWB1K/6‐31G(d) computational level. Analysis of the Conceptual DFT reactivity indices indicates that the strong nucleophilic character of AI 12 together with the high electrophilic character of NBMN 13 accounts for the strong polar character of this 32CA reaction, which demands very low activation energy. Analysis of the energy profiles indicates that this polar zw‐type 32CA reaction proceeds completely with a meta/exo selective pathway, in great agreement with the experimental data. Analyses of both molecular electrostatic potential and the non‐covalent interactions at the meta regioisomeric TSs allow explaining the observed exo stereoselectivity. Electron Localisation Function topological analysis indicates that the studied 32CA reaction takes place via a non‐concerted two‐stage one‐step mechanism as a [2n + 2τ] process.  相似文献
