Nanocarbons incorporating non-hexagonal aromatic rings - such as five-, seven-, and eight-membered rings - have various intriguing physical properties such as curved structures, unique one-dimensional packing, and promising magnetic, optical, and conductivity properties. Herein, we report an efficient synthetic approach to polycyclic aromatics containing seven-membered rings via a palladium-catalyzed intramolecular Ar−H/Ar−Br coupling. In addition to all-hydrocarbon scaffolds, heteroatom-embedded heptagon-containing polyarenes can be efficiently constructed with this method. Rhodium- and palladium-catalyzed sequential six- and seven-membered ring formations also afford complex heptagon-containing molecular nanocarbons from readily available arylacetylenes and biphenyl boronic acids. Detailed mechanistic analysis by DFT calculations showed the feasibility of seven-membered ring formation by a concerted metalation-deprotonation mechanism. This reaction can serve as a template for the synthesis of a wide range of seven-membered ring-containing molecular nanocarbons.  相似文献

A highly stereoselective aza‐Henry reaction of α‐aryl nitromethanes with aromatic N‐Boc imines was established by using C1‐symmetric chiral ammonium betaine as a bifunctional organic base catalyst. Various substituted aryl groups for both imines and nitromethanes were tolerated in the reaction, and a series of precursors for the synthesis of unsymmetrical anti‐1,2‐diaryl ethylenediamines was provided.  相似文献

We report on hexagonal close-packed (hcp) palladium (Pd)–boron (B) nanocrystals (NCs) by heavy B doping into face-centered cubic (fcc) Pd NCs. Scanning transmission electron microscopy–electron energy loss spectroscopy and synchrotron powder X-ray diffraction measurements demonstrated that the B atoms are homogeneously distributed inside the hcp Pd lattice. The large paramagnetic susceptibility of Pd is significantly suppressed in Pd–B NCs in good agreement with the reduction of density of states at Fermi energy suggested by X-ray absorption near-edge structure and theoretical calculations.  相似文献

Subnanocatalysts (SNCs) containing various noble metals (Cu, Ru, Rh, Pd, or Pt) with sizes of approximately 1 nm were synthesized using dendritic poly(phenylazomethine)s as a macromolecular template. These materials exhibit high catalytic performance during toluene oxidation without the use of harmful solvents or explosive oxidants, resulting in the formation of valuable organic products, including benzoic acid as the major product. In particular, Pt19 SNC with a narrow particle size distribution exhibits extraordinary catalytic activity, with a turnover frequency of 3238 atom?1 h?1, which is 1700 times greater than that obtained by commercial Pt/C catalysts.  相似文献

Vaccines typically contain an antigen, delivery system (vehicle), and adjuvant, all of which contribute to inducing a potent immune response. Consequently, design of new vaccines is difficult, because the contributions and interactions of these components are difficult to distinguish. Here, it is aimed to develop an easy‐to‐use, non‐immunogenic, injectable depot system for sustained antigen release that will be suitable for assessing the efficacy of prolonged antigen exposure per se for inducing an immune response. This should mimic real‐life infections. Recombinant elastin‐like polypeptides with periodic cysteine residues (cELPs) are selected, which reportedly show little or no immunogenicity, as carriers and tetanus toxoid (Ttd) as an antigen. After subcutaneous injection of the mixture, cELP rapidly forms a disulfide cross‐linked hydrogel in situ, within which Ttd is physically incorporated, affording a biodegradable antigen depot. A series of Ttd‐containing hydrogels is examined. A single injection induces high levels of tetanus antibody with high avidity for at least 20 weeks in mice. The chain length of cELP proves critical, whereas differences in hydrophobicity has little effect, although hydrophilic cELPs are more rapidly biodegraded. This system's ability to distinguish the contribution of sustained antigen release to antibody induction should be helpful for rational design of next‐generation vaccines.  相似文献

Remarkable magneto‐optical properties of a new isolator material, that is, europium sulfide nanocrystals with gold (EuS–Au nanosystem), has been demonstrated for a future photo‐information technology. Attachment of gold particles that exhibit surface plasmon resonance leads to amplification of the magneto‐optical properties of the EuS nanocrystals. To construct the EuS–Au nanosystems, cubic EuS and spherical Au nanocrystals have been joined by a variety of organic linkers, that is, 1,2‐ethanedithiol (EDT), 1,6‐hexanedithiol (HDT), 1,10‐decanedithiol (DDT), 1,4‐bisethanethionaphthalene (NpEDT), or 1,4‐bisdecanethionaphthalene (NpDDT) . Formation of these systems was observed by XRD, TEM, and absorption spectra measurements. The magneto‐optical properties of the EuS–Au nanosystem have been characterized by using Faraday rotation spectroscopy. The Faraday rotation angle of the EuS–Au nanosystem is dependent on the Au particle size and interparticle distance between EuS and Au nanocrystals. Enhancement of the Faraday rotation of EuS–Au nanosystems was observed. The spin configuration in the excited state of the EuS–Au nanosystem was also investigated using photo‐assisted electron paramagnetic resonance.  相似文献

Aggregation structures of 1-alkyl-3-methylimidazolium based ionic liquids (ILs) in aqueous solution were investigated by small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) from the viewpoint of alkyl chain length, n, and anions (Cl?, Br? and trifluoromethanesulfonate, $ {\text{CF}}_{3} {\text{SO}}_{3}^{ - } $ ). In [C4mIm+]-based IL systems, no noticeable SANS intensity was observed for all of the systems examined here, although aqueous [C4mIm+][ $ {\text{BF}}_{4}^{ - } $ ] solutions show a significant SANS profile originating from concentration fluctuations in the solution (Almasy et al. J Phys Chem B 112:2382–2387, 2008). This suggests that [C4mIm+][Cl?], [C4mIm+][Br?] and [C4mIm+][ $ {\text{CF}}_{3} {\text{SO}}_{3}^{ - } $ ] homogeneously mix with water, unlike the [C4mIm+][ $ {\text{BF}}_{4}^{ - } $ ] system, due to preferential hydration of the ions. In the case of the C n mIm cations with longer alkyl chain lengths (n = 8 and 12), SANS profiles were clearly observed in the aqueous solutions at IL concentrations of C IL > 230 and 20.0 mmol·dm?3, respectively. For aqueous [C8mIm+][Br?] solutions, the asymptotic behavior of the scattering function varied largely from I(q) ~ q ?2 to ~q ?4 with increasing C IL, indicating that the solution changes from an inhomogeneous mixing state to a nano-scale micelle state. Aqueous [C12mIm+][Br?] solutions show a typical SANS profile for micelle formation in solution. It was found from a model-fitting analysis that the structure of the [C12mIm+][Br?] micelle is ellipsoidal, not spherical, in solutions over the C IL range examined here.  相似文献

The design of structurally well‐defined anionic molecular metal–oxygen clusters, polyoxometalates (POMs), leads to inorganic receptors with unique and tunable properties. Herein, an α‐Dawson‐type silicotungstate, TBA8[α‐Si2W18O62] ? 3 H2O ( II ) that possesses a ?8 charge was successfully synthesized by dimerization of a trivacant lacunary α‐Keggin‐type silicotungstate TBA4H6[α‐SiW9O34] ? 2 H2O ( I ) in an organic solvent. POM II could be reversibly protonated (in the presence of acid) and deprotonated (in the presence of base) inside the aperture by means of intramolecular hydrogen bonds with retention of the POM structure. In contrast, the aperture of phosphorus‐centered POM TBA6[α‐P2W18O62]?H2O ( III ) was not protonated inside the aperture. The density functional theory (DFT) calculations revealed that the basicities and charges of internal μ3‐oxygen atoms were increased by changing the central heteroatoms from P5+ to Si4+, thereby supporting the protonation of II . Additionally, II showed much higher catalytic performance for the Knoevenagel condensation of ethyl cyanoacetate with benzaldehyde than I and III .  相似文献
