Hydroxylase/acetyltransferase elicitors and cyclooxygenase inhibitor along with various precursors from primary shikimate and secoiridoid pools have been fortified to vincamine less hairy root clone of Vinca minor to determine the regulatory factors associated with vincamine biosynthesis. Growth kinetic studies revealed that acetyltransferase elicitor acetic anhydride and terpenoid precursor loganin significantly reduce the growth either supplemented alone or in combination (GI?=?140.6?±?18.5 to 246.7?±?24.3), while shikimate and tryptophan trigger biomass accumulation (GI?=?440.2?±?31.5 to 540.5?±?40.3). Loganin also downregulates total alkaloid biosynthesis. Maximum flux towards vincamine production (0.017?±?0.001 % dry wt.) was obtained when 20-day-old hairy roots were fortified with secologanin (10 mg/l) along with tryptophan (100 mg/l), naproxen (8.4 mg/l), hydrogen peroxide (20 μg/l), and acetic anhydride (32.4 mg/l). This was supported by RT PCR (qPCR) analysis where 2- and 3-fold increase in tryptophan decarboxylase (TDC; RQ?=?2.0?±?0.09) and strictosidine synthase (STR; RQ?=?3.3?±?0.36) activity, respectively, was recorded. The analysis of variance (ANOVA) for growth kinetics, total alkaloid content, and gene expression studies favored highly significant data (P?<?0.05–0.01). Above treated hairy roots were also up-scaled in a 5-l stirred-tank bioreactor where a 40-day cycle yielded 8-fold increase in fresh root mass.  相似文献

Low temperature Mössbauer and AC susceptibility have been used to study relaxation phenomena in nano-sized particles of Cr0.25Co0.25Zn0.5Fe2O4. From these studies, the energy density constant for this system has been estimated to be 4 x 106 erg/cm3. Cation distribution has also been determined and the observed results are correlated to calculated relaxation times.  相似文献

The field of therapeutic nuclear medicine is emerging rapidly as choice of treatment in oncology and other cellular malignancies. The growth of this branch of nuclear medicine is greatly facilitated by the introduction of a number of new radiopharmaceuticals and radionuclides. 90Y-radiopharmaceuticals have confirmed their worth in medical and clinical areas in a very short span of time. The 90Y is a radioisotope widely used for therapeutic purposes and considerable perfection has been made to understand the chemistry of 90Y-labeled radiopharmaceuticals. The development of these radiopharmaceuticals can be made favorable by using appropriate buffer, incubation period, optimal pH, specific activity and reaction temperature. In this review, we have discussed the preparation of range of 90Y transporting biological molecules such as antibodies radiolabeled peptides, antigens and microsphere with their clinical applications.  相似文献

The optical constants (absorption coefficient, refractive index, extention coefficient, real and imaginary part of dielectric constant) have been studied for a-Se80Te20−xPbx (where x = 0, 2, 6, 10) thin films as a function of photon energy in the wave length range (500–1000 nm). It has been found that the optical band gap increases while the refractive index and the extinction coefficient (k) decreases on incorporation of lead in Se–Te system. The value of absorption coefficient (α) and the extinction coefficient (k) increases, while the value of refractive index (n) decreases with incident photon energy. The results are interpreted in terms of the change in concentration of localized states due to the shift in fermi level.  相似文献

Chalcogenide glasses are interesting materials due to their infrared transmitting properties and photo induced effects exhibited by them. Thin films with thickness of 3000 Å of the glasses Se75S25−xCdx with x=6, 8 and 10 at% prepared by melt quench technique were evaporated by thermal evaporation onto glass substrates under a vacuum of 10−6 Torr. The optical constants (absorption coefficient, refractive index and extinction coefficient) of as-prepared and annealed films have been studied as a function of photon energy in the wave length region 400-1000 nm. Analysis of the optical absorption data shows that the rule of non-direct transitions predominates. It has been found that the absorption coefficient and optical band gap increase with increasing annealing temperatures. The refractive index (n) and the extinction coefficient (k) were observed to decrease with increasing annealing temperature.  相似文献

Solar radiations trigger the physiological alteration in skin which progress toward photoaging. Sunscreens are known to be effective against the photodamaging effects of sunlight. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the extent to which aging signs caused by real‐life sunlight exposure could be avoided by comparing various parameters between sun‐exposed and sun‐protected skin using noninvasive probes. Female volunteers (n = 11) after getting their consent were provided with marketed sunscreen product to apply onto their skin for 6 months. Measurements were scheduled every 15 days from the baseline reading for 6 months. Cutometer, Mexameter and Corneometer were used for evaluation of facial skin parameters. Clinical evaluations showed the effects of sunlight exposure on different skin parameters by comparing sun‐protected and unprotected skin, where Gross elasticity (R2), Net elasticity (R5), Viscoelasticity (R6) and Biological elasticity (R7) showed insignificant results, while Hydration, Melanin and Erythema showed significant results. Sun‐exposed skin presented 0.72%, 0.66%, 0.77%, 1.39%, 1.99%, 2.01% and 3.15% changes in R2, R5, R6 and R7, melanin, erythema and hydration, respectively, which were potentially prevented by sunscreen application. Premature aging is inhibited by following photoprotective regimen on routine basis, emphasizing the potential benefit of sunscreen against early aging signs.  相似文献

Synthesis of nanomaterials is being gained extensive attention in the fields of chemistry, applied physics, catalysis, drug delivery and the most important in diagnosis and therapeutic applications. Recently, many reports have been published on physical and chemical synthesis of magnetic as well as metallic nanoparticles (NPs) with viable surface functionalization, but still there is a dire need of such strategies that can combine synthetic methodology with stable surface modification found in nature. Synthesis of NPs via biological methods is the possible way to solve these barriers. However, systematized summary and outlooks of NPs synthesis via biological entities with various influencing factors e.g. temperature, pH, concentration of reactants and reaction time has rarely been reported. This review will present the distinct advantages of biological synthesis of NPs over physical and chemical methods. It will also highlight the recent progress on synthesis of NPs via various biological systems i.e. plant, fungus, bacteria, and yeast. Furthermore, it will explain various factors that control the size, shape, and morphology of these NPs. Finally, it would present the future perspectives of green chemistry for the development of nano-science and -biotechnology.  相似文献
