We investigate additive transformations on the space of real or complex matrices that are monotone with respect to any admissible partial order relation. A complete characterization of these transformations is obtained. In the real case, we show that such transformations are linear and that all nonzero monotone transformations are bijective. As a corollary, we characterize all additive transformations that are monotone with respect to certain classical matrix order relations, in particular, with respect to the Drazin order, left and right *-orders, and the diamond order. 相似文献

Phase conversions and kinetics of electrochemical intercalation of lithium from dimethylformamide solutions of LiCl into bulk electrodes of bismuth, indium and their intermetallic compounds InBi and In2Bi are studied using chronopotentiometry and chronoamperometry methods. The intercalation is controlled by non-steady-state lithium diffusion in the solid electrode. In the lithium–intermetallic compound systems, both components of alloys take part in the formation of compounds with lithium. Considerable volume changes, which occur during the intercalation, may lead to disintegration of lithium-containing phase constituents with a high lithium content. The extremum shape of cathodic chronoamperograms may be due successive and/or parallel reactions in which various lithium-containing compounds form. Some of these reactions are limited by solid-phase diffusion, while others involve the formation and diffusion-controlled growth of three-dimensional nuclei of a new phase. 相似文献

A novel general-purpose interface-controller unit has been designed and applied in potentiometric analysis. The unit is operated by a personal microcomputer programmed in BASIC. The interface-controller permits direct reading of specific ion-electrodes and can activate, under program control, laboratory instruments such as motor-driven burettes. The interface-controller is expendable to 16 analogue input channels, 16 binary (logic) input lines and 16 control relays but requires only one microcomputer I/O port (a total of 9 I/O lines) to handle all operations. Analogue to digital conversion is realized by counting, with the microcomputer, the output frequency of an analogue-to-frequency converter. This inexpensive method is effective in rejecting interfering signals such as power-line interference. The system has been applied in potentiometric titration analysis for determining the apparent dissociation constants of carbonic acid in sea-water and Dead Sea brines, and for ammonia determination with a gas-sensing electrode. 相似文献

Comparative study of the regularities of the reaction and specific features of phase formation during electrochemical incorporation
of lithium from propylene carbonate solutions in intermetallic aluminum-based compounds (CuAl2, Mg2Al3, and NiAl) and pure metals (Al, Cu, Mg, and Ni) was performed. The initial stage of the process was shown to be dissolution
of lithium in the solid phase limited by diffusion for all studied substrates. Trace amounts of lithium-containing by-products,
were detected in NiAl, Ni, and Cu samples. The subsequent change in the limiting stage is related to the beginning of formation
of a new phase: metallic lithium (on Mg2Al3, NiAl, Mg, Ni, and Cu) or LiAl (on Al and CuAl2 cathodes). In the latter case, the solid-phase substitution occurs, which is formally described by the equation: CuAl2+2Li++2e→2LiAl+Cu. Thus, the specific features of phase formation on the CuAl2 electrode correspond to the highest (among three intermetallides studied) concentration of Al atoms in the crystal lattice
of the compound.

Ionic liquid lignins are prepared from sodium lignosulfonate by a cation exchange reaction and display glass transition temperatures as low as ?13 °C. Diethyleneglycol‐functionalized protic cations inhibit lignin aggregation to produce a free‐flowing “ionic liquid lignin”, despite it being a high‐molecular‐weight polyelectrolyte. Through this approach, the properties of both lignin and ionic liquids are combined to create a dispersant and binder for cellulose+gluten mixtures to produce small microphases. Biocomposite testing pieces are produced by hot‐pressing this mixture, yielding a material with fewer defects and improved toughness in comparison to other lignins. The use of unmodified lignosulfonate, acetylated lignosulfonate, or free ionic liquid for similar materials production yields poorer substances because of their inability to maximize interfacial contact and complexation with cellulose and proteins. 相似文献

An array of highly fluorinated polymerizable phosphonium salts (HFPPS) were synthesized from PH3 and utilized in UV‐curable formulations. Inclusion of these salts at very low loading (0.1–1 wt %) into hexanediol diacrylate (HDDA) resulted in hydrophobic surfaces. The water repellency was achieved with short C4F9 fluorocarbon appendages in the monomer as opposed to the bioaccumulative C8F17 appended polymers. The physical properties of these new monomers were also characterized. The molecular architecture of the monomers had a pronounced effect on both their physical properties along with the degree of hydrophobicity imparted in the polymer. Salts utilizing the bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide anion displayed excellent compatibility with HDDA, while the chloride salts were insoluble. Time‐of‐flight secondary ion mass spectrometry (TOF‐SIMS) confirmed the presence of the HFPPS at the surface of the polymer coating. For the first time this demonstrates how these salts may be used to functionalize the surface of a UV‐cured film with ionic species. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Sci., Part A: Polym.
