This paper presents the thermal behavior of Co, Ni and Fe succinates obtained by sol-gel synthesis using Co(II), Ni(II) and Fe(III) nitrates, 1,4-butanediol and tetraethyl orthosilicate as reactants. The thermal analysis revealed the formation of succinates at 413–453 K and their decomposition to ferrites at 503–623 K. The rate constants for the decomposition of succinates to ferrites, calculated using the isotherms at 473, 523, 573 and 623 K, were used to determine the activation energy of each ferrite (NiFe2O4, Ni0.3Co0.7Fe2O4, Ni0.7Co0.3Fe2O4 and CoFe2O4) embedded in the silica matrix. By increasing the Ni content in the mixed Ni–Co ferrites, the activation energy decreases from 13.530 to 1.944 kJ mol?1. The formation and decomposition of succinate precursors and the formation of silica matrix were confirmed by FT-IR spectroscopy, while the formation of CoFe2O4 and NiFe2O4 single-phases embedded in the silica matrix was confirmed by X-ray diffraction analysis. The nanocrystallites size decreases from 31.7 (CoFe2O4) to 18.5 nm (NiFe2O4). The optical band gap of mixed Co–Ni ferrites was significantly higher than that corresponding to CoFe2O4. The photocatalytic activity of the samples was evaluated against Rhodamine B under visible light. All the samples have photocatalytic activities, the best performance being obtained in the case of Ni0.7Co0.3Fe2O4.

ZnO nanoparticles (ZnO-NP) were prepared by a facile precipitation technique using di-isopropyl amine as precipitating agent. The morpho-structure and porosity of the as-prepared nano-powder were investigated by FT-IR analysis, X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), and BET analysis. By drop-casting, a composite film was deposited to obtain ZnO-NP-Nafion/GCE modified electrode. The modified electrode was investigated by cyclic voltammetry, electrochemical impedance spectroscopy, and square wave anodic stripping voltammetry (SWASV) for the detection of Pb2+, Cd2+, Cu2+, and Fe3+, and it was successfully applied for the detection of Pb2+ and Cu2+ in real water samples.  相似文献

Reaction of Na4TCM (1) (H4TCM = tetra[4-(carboxyphenyl)oxamethyl]methane) with [Cu(CHA)](ClO4)2 (2)(CHA = 1,3,6,8,11,14-hexaaz atricyclo[12.2.1.1.8,11] octadecane) in a DMF-water mixture yields [Cu(CHA)]2[TCM] (3). Structural analysis of [Cu(CHA)]2[TCM]·11H2O (3·11H2O) by single crystal X-ray diffraction reveals strong copper-oxygen bonds between two complex cations and the tetraanion leading to a 3D coordination network (zwitterionic structure), consolidated through additional NH...O=C hydrogen bonding within the cation/anion association. The resulting coordination geometry around a copper atom is a distorted square pyramidal with an oxygen atom of the anionic ligand in the apical position. A 3D supramolecular network is developed in the crystal based only on NH...OC hydrogen bonds between the macrocyclic metallic tecton and the carboxylate groups of neighboring 3D coordinated (zwitterionic) moieties. The pseudotetrahedral TCM4? tetraanionic ligand induces a diamondoid architecture formed of large distorted adamantanoid cages.   相似文献

Aqueous-solution complexes of β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) with metoprolol tartrate (MET) have been analysed with 1H NMR and UV–vis spectroscopy. With 1H NMR a [1:1] stoichiometry could be established for the β-CD-MET complex while its stability constant was determined with UV–vis spectroscopy. Powder diffraction data of a polycrystalline sample of the β-CD-MET complex show that a novel product has been formed, likely to be a β-CD-MET [1:1] inclusion complex. Also Hyperchem MM+ molecular-dynamics results suggest an inclusion complex and from 1H NMR data it is inferred that probably the MET is docked in the CD with the formers methoxyethyl-benzene moiety in front. Novel cocrystals of promethazine hydrochloride [PTZ‐Cl; systematic name: N,N‐dimethyl‐1‐(10H‐phenothiazin‐10‐yl)propan‐2‐aminium chloride] with succinic acid (PTZ‐Cl‐succinic, C17H21N2S+·Cl?·0.5C4H6O4), fumaric acid (PTZ‐Cl‐fumaric, C17H21N2S+·Cl?·0.5C4H4O4) and adipic acid (PTZ‐Cl‐adipic, C17H21N2S+·Cl?·0.5C6H10O4) were prepared by solvent drop grinding and slow evaporation from acetonitrile solution, along with two oxalic acid cocrystals which were prepared in tetrahydrofuran (the oxalic acid hemisolvate, PTZ‐Cl‐oxalic, C17H21N2S+·Cl?·0.5C2H2O4) and nitromethane (the hydrogen oxalate salt, PTZ‐oxalic, C17H21N2S+·C2HO4?). The crystal structures obtained by crystallization from tetrahydrofuran and acetonitrile include the Cl? ion in the lattice structures, while the Cl? ion is missing from the crystal structure obtained by crystallization from nitromethane (PTZ‐oxalic). In order to explain the formation of the two types of supramolecular configurations with oxalic acid, the intermolecular interaction energies were calculated in the presence of the two solvents and the equilibrium configurations were determined using density functional theory (DFT). The cocrystals were studied by X‐ray diffraction, IR spectroscopy and differential scanning calorimetry. Additionally, a stability test under special conditions and water solubility were also investigated. PTZ‐Cl‐succinic, PTZ‐Cl‐fumaric and PTZ‐Cl‐adipic crystallized having similar lattice parameter values, and showed a 2:1 PTZ‐Cl to dicarboxylic acid stoichiometry. PTZ‐Cl‐oxalic crystallized in a 2:1 stoichiometric ratio, while the structure lacking the Cl atom belongs has a 1:1 stoichiometry. All the obtained crystals exhibit hydrogen bonds of the type PTZ…Cl…(dicarboxylic acid)…Cl…PTZ, except for PTZ‐oxalic, which forms bifurcated bonds between the hydrogen oxalate and promethazinium ions, along with an infinite hydrogen‐bonded chain between the hydrogen oxalate anions.  相似文献

The inclusion of α-lipoic acid (LA) in β-cyclodextrin (β-CD) by increasing the aqueous solubility and photostability can enhance its medicinal use in the oral administration. Different preparation methods were employed to obtain an α-lipoic acid-β-cyclodextrin (LA-β-CD) inclusion complex and to determine the physical–chemical characteristics and the interactions present in this compound. The formation of the solid inclusion compound was confirmed by X-ray powder diffraction, differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). FTIR and DSC data confirm the new obtained compound. The crystalline structure of this compound belongs to the monoclinic system with four molecules in the unit cell. 1H NMR spectroscopic method was employed to study the inclusion process in aqueous solution. Job plots derived from the 1H NMR spectral data demonstrated an 1:1 stoichiometry of the inclusion complex in liquid state. 2D NMR data suggest the orientation of LA with the carboxyl group near to narrower rim of the β-CD.  相似文献

The thermal behavior of CoxFe3?xO4/SiO2 nanocomposites obtained by direct synthesis starting from nonahydrate ferric nitrate and hexahydrate cobalt nitrate in different ratios with and without the addition of 1,4-butanediol was studied. For the synthesis of CoxFe3?xO4 (x = 0.5–2.5) dispersed in the silica matrix a wide Co/Fe molar ratio was used. The decomposition processes, formation of crystalline phases, gases evolvement and mass changes during gels annealing at different temperatures were assessed by thermal analysis. The absence of succinate precursor and a low mass loss were observed in the case of the gel obtained in the absence of 1,4-butanediol. In case of gels obtained using a stoichiometric ratio of Co/Fe, no clear delimitation between Co and Fe succinates was observed, while for samples with a Fe or Co excess, the formation of the two succinates was observed. The evolution of the crystalline phase after annealing (673, 973 and 1273 K) investigated by X-ray diffraction analysis and Fourier transformed infrared spectrometry revealed that in samples with Fe excess, stoichiometric Fe/Co ratio or low Co excess, the cobalt ferrite (CoFe2O4) was obtained as a single phase, while in samples with higher cobalt excess, olivine (Co2SiO4) as a main phase, cobalt oxide and CoFe2O4 as secondary phases were obtained after annealing at 1273 K. The SEM images confirmed the nanoparticles embedding in the silica matrix, while the TEM and X-ray diffraction data showed that the obtained nanoparticles’ size was below 10 nm in most samples.  相似文献

Inclusion complexes of atenolol with beta-cyclodextrin (beta-CD) in aqueous solution have been investigated with (1)H NMR and UV-vis spectroscopy. The stoichiometry of this inclusion complex was established to be equimolar (1:1) and its stability constant was determined by UV-vis spectroscopy. The crystal structure of the beta-CD-atenolol (1:1) inclusion compound has been solved from synchrotron powder diffraction data using direct-space search techniques. The crystal structure model and (1)H NMR data are in good agreement and, with support of Hyperchem MM+ molecular dynamics results, suggest which protons are likely to be involved in the inclusion process that leads to the supramolecular architecture of this guest-host complex.  相似文献
