Experimental Studies of Demixing in Ar–N Plasmas Produced in a Wall‐Stabilized Arc

Plasmas produced in a wall stabilized arc in mixtures of argon and nitrogen, containing different amounts of these elements have been studied. The plasma composition turns out to be very important to the process of demixing in radial direction. In plasmas containing mainly argon, the argon mass fraction reveals a local minimum on the arc axis while in plasmas containing large amount of nitrogen the argon mass fraction have a maximum on the arc axis. The increase of nitrogen amount in Ar–N plasma influences the radial temperature profile causing a decrease of the temperature in plasma layers close to the stabilizing wall and an increase on the axis of plasma column. Attenuation of high energy multi-hadron systems leptoproduced in nuclear matter

Attenuation of groups of high energy particles leptoproduced in nuclear matter is calculated in terms of parameters describing strongly interacting systems at the early stages of particle production: formation time of hadrons and cross-section for the intermediate state to interact inside the nucleus. It is argued that measurements of attenuation of multihadron systems can remove some ambiguities in determining these parameters.     

Cost estimation algorithm and decision-making model for curriculum modification in educational organization

The decision about curriculum modification usually takes place at the knowledge level, mainly with consideration of individual academic staff competences and qualifications. However, traditional approaches to cost estimation of curriculum modification are focused on material resources only. In this paper we present a cost estimation method and decision model for curriculum modification in educational organizations. The proposed method works at the knowledge level and employs competence sets as knowledge representation models in educational organizations. Authors used the theory of hierarchical, multilevel systems in order to define the model of the decision-making process of curriculum modification and its dimension. Basing on this and also using a fuzzy competence model the cost estimation algorithm in the form of a group competences expansion algorithm is proposed. The algorithm focuses on the cost of staff competence expansion caused by the knowledge development process.     

Molecular structure and some reactivity aspects of 2,6-diamino-4(3H)-pyrimidinone monohydrate

Crystals of C₄H₆N₄O·H₂O are orthorhombic:Pbca,a=16.721(2),b=4.242(1),c=18.293(2)Å,Z=8. The structure has been solved by direct methods and refined by full-matrix least-squares techniques toR=0.046 for 1252 unique reflections. The structure consists of approximately planar molecules of the 3(H)4-one tautomer. Delocalization of the ring and the C=O-electrons, and conjugation of the lone-pair electrons of the amine groups with the pyrimidinone nucleus are observed. The molecules are connected by O-HO, N-HN, and N-HO hydrogen bonds. The molecular structure clarifies the chemical properties of the compound.
