The Ni(II) complexes [Ni(L)2](ClO4)2 (1) and [Ni(L)2(NO3)2] (2), where L is the Schiff base ligand of 4,5,9,13,14-pentaaza-benzo[b] triphenylene, were synthesized and characterized by physico-chemical and spectroscopic methods. Nano-sized particles of (1) were prepared both by sonochemistry (3) and solvothermal (4) methods. NiO nanoparticles were obtained by calcination of the nano-structure complexes at 500 °C. The structures of the nano-sized compounds were characterized by X-ray powder diffraction and scanning electron microscopy. The thermal stabilities of the bulk complexes (1–2) and nano-sized particles (3–4) were studied by thermogravimetric and differential scanning calorimetry. The catalytic activities of complexes of (1–4) are reported. The free Schiff base and its Ni(II) complexes have been screened for antibacterial activities against three Gram-positive bacteria. The metal complexes are more active than the free Schiff base. Electrochemical studies show that the Ni complexes undergo irreversible reduction in MeCN solution.  相似文献

A remarkably efficient three‐component reaction to synthesize 2‐amino‐4H‐chromenes derivatives from malononitrile, various aromatic aldehydes, and orcinol was described at room temperature in CH2Cl2 in the presence of catalytic amount of triethylamine. In a facile one‐pot procedure, excellent yields of products were achieved in less than 1 h. Some of the synthesized 2‐amino‐4H‐chromenes derivatives demonstrated potent antibacterial activities against Gram‐positive bacteria including Staphylococcus aureus and Bacillus anthracis, indicated by disk method, minimum inhibitory concentration, and minimum bactericidal concentration approaches. However, none of the tested compounds expressed any antibacterial activities against Enterococcus faecalis and Gram‐negative bacteria.  相似文献

The natural product curcumin with different biological activity reacts smoothly with electron–deficient acetylenic compounds in the presence of Ph3P to produce different new curcumin derivatives which is containing coumarin and furan functional fragments in moderate yields. The reaction based on the aromatic electrophilic substitution reaction between phenol moieties of curcumin and vinyltriphenylphosphonium salts under mild conditions.  相似文献

The essential oils obtained by hydrodistillation of the leaves, stems and flowers of Salvia reuterana (Lamiaceae) were analysed by GC and GC/MS. Germacrene D and beta-caryophyllene were the major constituents in all the three oils: (28.5, 27.7 and 32.5%) and (15.5, 11.4 and 16.6%), respectively. Bicyclogermacrene (10.2 and 13.2%) was also prodominated in the stem and flower oils. The composition of the oils was mostly quantitativel rather than qualitatively different. All the oils consisted mainly of sesquiterpenes and a small percentage of non-terpenoid compounds. In all the three oils, monoterpenes were in a concentration less than 0.5%. Antibacterial activity was determined by the measurement of growth inhibitory zones.  相似文献

Two new branched pentadentate amines (N5), 3,6-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-5 methyl-3,6-diazaheptane diazahexane-1-amine (1) and 4,7-bis(2-pyridylmethyl)-6-methyl-4,7-diazaheptane-1-amine (2) have been prepared. These have been used for the synthesis for the eight new macroacyclic Schiff base complexes, by template [1 + 1] condensation of pyridine-2-carbaldehyde or O-vaniline and amines (1 and 2) in the presence of Mn(II) and Zn(II) metal ions in methanol. The isolated complexes were characterized by a combination of microanalysis, IR and Mass spectroscopy. The structure of MnL1(ClO4)2 indicates that in the solid state the Mn(II) ion adopts a slightly distorted octahedral geometry. The synthesized compounds have antibacterial activity against the three Gram-positive bacteria: Enterococcus faecalis, Bacillus cereus and Staphylococcus epidermidis and also against the three Gram-negative bacteria: Citrobacter freundii, Enterobacter aerogenes and Salmonella typhi. The structure of the complexes derived from pyridine-2-carbaldehyde and metal–ligand interactions in these complexes were also theoretically studied. It was indicated that the structure of complexes is similar to each other and metal–ligand interactions depend mainly on the nature of metal ion and is similar for this series of ligands.  相似文献

The synthesis and characterization is reported of four iron(III) complexes of general formula [Fe(pythsalX)(H2O)2]Cl2, derived from the NSNO-donor tetradentate Schiff base ligands pythsalHX ([5-X-N-(2-pyridylethylsulfanylethyl)salicylideneimine] (X = OMe, N2Ph, I, NO2). The complexes were characterized by physico-chemical and spectroscopic methods. The thermal stabilities of both the free Schiff bases and their complexes were studied by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analyses. The spectroscopic data suggest that the Schiff base ligands coordinate through deprotonated phenolic oxygen, imine, and pyridine-type nitrogens and the thioether sulfur atoms to give an octahedral geometry around the iron(III) atom in all these complexes. The free Schiff bases and their complexes have been screened for antimicrobial activities and the results show that the free Schiff bases are more potent antibacterials than the complexes.  相似文献
