We analyze a field experiment where ambient air is injected into the soil during the summer and extracted again during the winter. A multiphase model accounting for the conductive transport as well as the convective transport with the moving liquid and gas phases is used along with a more simplified single-phase model where the convective transport is due to the gas alone. The latter model also accounts for subzero wintertime temperatures. The multiphase model captures well both the seasonal variations and the actual test sequence, the main calibration being in the adjustment of medium permeabilities based on the observed pressure responses. The effect of the injection pump on the temperature and humidity of the injection air needs to be known accurately. Taking into account the humidity of the injection air explicitly instead of using humidity-corrected enthalpy values also has an effect. The effect of various humidity and specific enthalpy assumptions is of the order of 1–1.5°C, while ignoring the wintertime subzero temperatures has an effect of 1–2°C. These differences are of the same order of magnitude as the heterogeneity-introduced differences in field data. Using the simplified single-phase model typically appears to cause a difference of 1–2°C, but can yield an even higher deviation of the order of 3–4°C.  相似文献

Strawberry and cabbage candidate reference materials (RMs) have been prepared by our laboratory during 1992–1993. Fresh materials have been homogenized and spiked with known concentrations of pesticides representing compounds commonly used for strawberries and cabbages. The candidate RMs have been then freeze-dried, homogenized, bottled under a stream of nitrogen and stored frozen at –20°C. Homogeneity and stability of the candidate RMs have been studied during the storage period. Homogeneity of the candidate RMs for 5 g samples has been within 10%. Homogeneity and stability studies have been carried out using the conventional multiresidue method of Luke et al. [1]. Instrumental analysis have been performed by gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS) employing selected ion monitoring (SIM).  相似文献

For the purpose of characterizing geologically stored $\text{ CO}_{2}Air sparging is an in situ soil/groundwater remediation technology, which involves the injection of pressurized air through air sparging well below the zone of contamination. To investigate the rate-dependent flow properties during multistep air sparging, a rule-based dynamic two-phase flow model was developed and applied to a 3D pore network which is employed to characterize the void structure of porous media. The simulated dynamic two-phase flow at the pore scale or microscale was translated into functional relationships at the continuum-scale of capillary pressure?Csaturation (P c?CS) and relative permeability??saturation (K r?CS) relationships. A significant contribution from the air injection pressure step and duration time of each air injection pressure on both of the above relationships was observed during the multistep air sparging tests. It is observed from the simulation that at a given matric potential, larger amount of water is retained during transient flow than that during steady flow. Shorter the duration of each air injection pressure step, there is higher fraction of retained water. The relative air/water permeability values are also greatly affected by the pressure step. With large air injection pressure step, the air/water relative permeability is much higher than that with a smaller air injection pressure step at the same water saturation level. However, the impact of pressure step on relative permeability is not consistent for flows with different capillary numbers (N ca). When compared with relative air permeability, relative water permeability has a higher scatter. It was further observed that the dynamic effects on the relative permeability curve are more apparent for networks with larger pore sizes than that with smaller pore sizes. In addition, the effect of pore size on relative water permeability is higher than that on relative air permeability.  相似文献

The solution-state conformational equilibria of trans-4',7-dihydroxyisoflavan-4-ol (1) and trans-isoflavan-4-ol (2) were assessed based on the temperature dependence of their vicinal coupling constants J(H)(-)(2)(alpha)(,H)(-)(3) and J(H-3,H)(-)(4) in comparison to values calculated with density functional theory (DFT) methods at the B3LYP/cc-pVTZ//B3LYP/6-31G(d,p) level of theory. For each half-chair conformer, several rotamers with respect to the C-4 hydroxyl and C-3 phenyl were calculated and the overall diequatorial-to-diaxial ratio at 298 K was assessed as 66:34 for 1 and 73:27 for 2.
