A new synthesis of methanoisoindoles

Phase equilibria and some properties of solid solutions in the Tl5Te3-Tl9BiTe6-Tl5Te2Cl system

Phase equilibria in the Tl₅Te₃-Tl₉BiTe6-Tl₅Te₂Cl system were studied by differential thermal analysis (DTA), X-ray powder diffraction, and measurements of microhardness and also emf of concentration circuits with reference to a thallium electrode. A number of polythermal sections, the isothermal sections of the phase diagram at 760 and 800 K, and projections of the liquidus and solidus surfaces were constructed. It was shown that the system is characterized by the formation of unlimited solid solutions with the Tl₅Te₃ structure. The concentration dependences of the crystal lattice parameters, microhardness, and emf in the solid solutions were described.     

Non-markovian properties of dielectric relaxation in liquids

Statistical molecular memory is investigated in dielectric relaxation in a liquid medium. A new method of closing the infinite chain of kinetic equations for the time correlation function is proposed, and used to obtain an equation permitting the calculation of the smallest-order memory functions. The spectrum of the non-Markovian parameter obtained indicates that dielectric relaxation in liquid CH₃I is a significantly non-Markovian process.Kazan' State Pedagogical Institute. Reaction between phenol and 130–190°C fraction of liquid pyrolysis products in the presence of catalyst KU-23 in a continuous plant

The results of the alkylation of phenol by 130–190°C fraction of the liquid pyrolysis products in the presence of a catalyst KU-23 of H-form carried out in a continuous plant were reported. Optimal conditions for the synthesis of p-alkyl phenol were found. It was shown that under the optimal mode a yield of target alkyl phenol was 69.7% of theory and selectivity, 93.3%. p-Alkyl phenolamine resin tested as an antioxidant engine oil at high temperatures was synthesized on the basis of p-alkyl phenol and hexamine.     

Synthesis of <Emphasis Type="Italic">N</Emphasis>-[2-hydroxy-4(5)-methyl- and -5-(methylcyclohexyl)benzyl]morpholines as antioxidants for transformer oils

Aminomethylation of m- and p-cresols and of p-(1-methylcyclohexyl)phenol with formaldehyde and morpholine was studied. The products obtained were tested as antioxidant additives to T-1500 transformer oil.

Polythermal and isothermal sections of the phase diagram at 760 and 800 K, and projections of the liquidus and solidus surfaces were constructed. The unit cell parameters, microhardness, and emf in the alloys were described as functions of concentration. The system is characterized by the formation of complete solid solutions with the Tl₅Te₃ structure.     

3,5-Di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzaldehyde derivatives as antioxidants in cumene oxidation

A series of 4-hydroxy-3,5-di-tert-butylbenzaldehyde derivatives were prepared, and their antioxidant properties were studied.     

Evaluation of the performance of catalysts for joint deep oxidation of hydrocarbons and carbon monoxide under the action of UHF radiation

A series of Сu–Cr–Co/Al₂O₃/Al catalysts were synthesized under conditions of both traditional heat treatment and action of UHF field, with determination of the thermal transformation properties and degree of radiation penetration into the catalyst bulk. The performance of the catalysts in joint deep oxidation of n-butane and carbon monoxide, stimulated by microwave radiation, was evaluated. The use of the generalized Harrington desirability function reflecting the whole set of definite different-dimension partial responses facilitates the visualization of the expert evaluation of the results and can be recommended for preparing heterogeneous catalysts for related reactions, stimulated by microwave radiation, and for ranking them with respect to performance.
