The synthesis of two tetrathiafulvalene-appended pyridinehydrazone pyrimidine ligands, namely (Z)-4-(2-((5-([2,2′-bi(1,3-dithiolylidene)]-4-yl)pyridin-2-yl)methylene) hydrazinyl)-6-chloropyrimidine L1 and (Z)-4-(2-((6-([2,2′-bi(1,3-dithiolylidene)]-4-yl)pyridin-2-yl)methylene) hydrazinyl)-6-chloropyrimidine L2 is described. Ligand L1 was reacted with cobalt(II) to yield a cationic metal complex [Co(L1)2] while ligand L2 was reacted with zinc(II) to afford a neutral metal complex [ZnL2Cl2]. The crystal structure analysis of [Co(L1)2] indicate that Co(II) ion is coordinated by six nitrogen atoms from two perpendicular ligands while in [ZnL2Cl2], Zn(II) is coordinated by two chlorine atoms and three nitrogen atoms. The electrochemical behavior indicate that ligands L1 and L2 and the zinc(II) complex are suitable fort the preparation of crystalline radical cation salts. Finally the determination of MIC80 values against C. albicans, C. glabrata, C. parapsilosis, C. krusei and E. dermatitidis revealed that the cobalt(II) metal complex [Co(L1)2] is active against all the studied fungi.  相似文献

For the first time, large amount of Janus silica particles as small as 100 nm in diameter were prepared through a simple method based on the elaboration of Pickering emulsions of wax-in-water. Controlling the kinetic stabilization of wax droplets allows the fabrication of gram-sized quantities of regular asymmetric inorganic particles with high yield. In fact, our method is based on a limited coalescence process, which allows one to predict the quantity of interface which is produced when working with a known mass of wax, and thus to be sure that all introduced silica particles are adsorbed on the wax surface. To this end, the hydrophilic surface of the silica particles was made partially hydrophobic by adsorbing a known amount of surfactant: cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB). Varying the concentration in surfactant results in tuning the penetration rate of the particles in the wax droplets, leading to various dimension of the modified area. The broken spherical symmetry of the particle surface was thereafter revealed by the selective adsorption of gold nanoparticles on the amino-modified surface.  相似文献

The concept of colloidal molecules was first evoked by van Blaaderen in 2003 for describing small non-spherical colloids made of the aggregation of a small number of particles. He predicted original properties to the complex assemblies of such colloids, in particular in optics. This critical review deals with the different strategies reported for creating robust clusters of spherical particles which could mimic the space-filling models of simple conventional molecules. These routes concern either the controlled clustering of preformed colloids directed by coalescence, physical routes, chemical routes, or 2-D/3-D geometrical confinement, or strategies starting from a single colloid which is decorated by satellite colloids by taking advantage of controlled phase separation or nucleation and growth phenomena. These routes are compared from the viewpoint of the accessible shapes, their tunability and scalability (146 references).  相似文献

Possible collapsed forms of poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) molecules are reviewed on the basis of first principle calculations. Various configurations and associated conformations are detailed. The calculated optimized structures exhibit different possibilities of creating networks of intra-molecular bonds of the hydrogen type. We show that the most remarkable one is able to form a local, self-saturated and well ordered helix. We also indicate in which direction the synthesis of the molecule should be oriented to improve its global behavior in term of hydrophobic/hydrophilic behavior.  相似文献
