The amplitude and the rate of coastal elevation and subsidence and the regularities of positive andnegative crustal movements are discussed emphatically in this paper, and on this basis 11 periods ofcoastal elevation and subsidence are distinguished. Each period is further subdivided into two stagesof subsidence-sedimentation and elevation-sedimentary hiatus; each stage covers a time interval of about250 years, that is to say, each period is equivalent to about 500 years. It is a new subject to study the period of recent coastal elevation and subsidence. For this signifi-cant but difficult subject, there have always been two distinctly different schools of thought relatingto the rate of coastal elevation and subsidence, the time division of sediments and the origin of highbeach rocks. Therefore, the authors welcome the valuable comments or criticisms on this paper fromspecialists and scholars.  相似文献

Six species, belonging to five genera, of large animal remains are firstly described andreported in this paper. They were found in the late Holocene high beachrock of 25--m ele-vation on Longhu Hill of Houshijing, Pinghai Village, Putian County, Fujian Province. Theseanimal remains are found mostly between intertidal and subtidal zones in the tropical areafrom the Miocene to the recent. The research results have confirmed that the coastal sedi-ments belong to the beachrock, which is formed in the tropical coastal areas. This paperproposes that the study of large animal remains in the beachrock can provide a scientificbase for the understanding of the sedimentographic environment of the beachrock, andvaluable information for the study on paleoclimate and paleo-shoreline evolution.  相似文献

本文首次报道了福建省莆田县平海乡后石井村龙虎山的晚全新世海滩岩中5属6种大动物遗骸。这些动物属种多分布于中新世至现代的潮间带与潮下带之交的热带海域。研究结果证实了该区海岸沉积岩是海滩岩,而不是海岸沙丘岩,也证实了海滩岩是热带海岸的海洋产物。海滩岩及其所含化石的研究,将对古气候古地理研究做出重大贡献。  相似文献
