Influence of the skin effect on the absorption of electromagnetic radiation by a fine metal particle
The cross section of absorption of electromagnetic radiation by a fine spherical metal particle is calculated. The influence of the skin effect on the absorption cross-section is estimated for an arbitrary ratio between the free path and size of the particle. The results of this work are compared with those obtained earlier in the framework of classical electrodynamics. It is shown that taking into account the kinetic effects modifies essentially the known data for the skin effect in a spherical particle. 相似文献

A new variant of realization of quantum memory based on the use of a photon echo in an optically dense three-level gaseous medium is proposed. The use of a long-lived highly excited optical level as a storage of quantum information is the characteristic feature of the scheme proposed. This scheme of quantum memory is distinguished by reduced optical noises owing to the possibility of realizing temporal, spectral, and spatial selection of weak quantum radiation relative to the accompanying laser pulsed fields. 相似文献

Using self-consistent field theory, the interaction of electron flow with HF fields in a gyroklystron has been analized. Optimal parameters of its output cavity corresponding to the maximum efficiency have been found. Experimental study of dependence of the efficiency on Q-factor and length of the output cavity has been carried out. The effect of a considerable strengthening of muon depolarization in ALC resonance experiments was predicted for the muonium + nuclear spin system in the presence of a radiofrequency field. A mathematical approach was developed for obtaining analytic solutions that described the muon spin dynamics in ALC experiments, including a particular exact solution that contained much information about the system studied in fairly low magnetic radiofrequency fields. An analysis of these solutions and numerical calculations allowed us to comprehensively analyze muon depolarization patterns in a radiofrequency field. The results reveal the potential of muon depolarization strengthening for considerably increasing the sensitivity of experimental studies of muonium interactions with neighboring nuclear spins and for obtaining new spectroscopic information. 相似文献

Tetraphenylantimony(V) carboxylates have been used in the palladium-catalyzed C-phenylation reaction of methyl acrylate in the presence of (PhCO2)2 or t-BuOOH under mild conditions (50 °C). Main results of experimental testing of the 140 GHz/1.5 MW coaxial gyrotron are summarized. High selective properties of the coaxial cavities and a possibility to increase considerably the efficiency of a coaxial gyrotron only by applying independently an appropriate voltage on its electrodes (without any design modification) have been confirmed. A consistent quantum theory of a two-pulse pump-probe experiment in the femto-and picosecond spectroscopy of diatomic molecules is developed. The theory aims at the use of weak quantum femtosecond light pulses to excite molecular coherence. It is suggested that the experiment be realized using a double-frequency excitation scheme that is feasible for Na2 molecules. On the basis of the theory developed, the luminescence signals are calculated at different temperatures and different optical densities of the medium for the time range from 100 fs to ~ 100 ps. The results obtained show the presence of a strong dependence of the time and frequency spectra of a luminescence signal on the optical density of the medium at temperatures from 50 to 300 K. The proposed approach makes it possible to use the quantum coherence properties of optically dense media for more detailed study of the vibronic dynamics of diatomic molecules, in particular, detection of weak optical transitions. 相似文献
