The crystal structure of the Zr1−xYxNiSn half-Heusler solid solutions is synthesized and their crystal structure is determined. Electrical resistivity and thermoelectric Seebeck coefficient are measured in the 80-380 K temperature range, whereas magnetic susceptibility is measured at 290 K. It is established that substitution of Zr host atoms by Y in the ZrNiSn intermetallic semiconductor is equivalent to doping by acceptor impurities. Self-consistent ab initio calculations, based on the full potential local orbital (FPLO) minimum basis method, are performed to investigate the electronic and thermoelectric properties of these alloys. Spin polarized within the framework of the coherent potential approximation (CPA) are included.  相似文献

The temperature and spectral dependences of the refractive indices of triglycine sulphate (TGS) crystals doped with L-threonine impurity have been investigated. It is established that the introduction of an impurity weakens the temperature dependence of refractive indices. The electronic polarizability, refractions, and parameters of UV oscillators of mechanically deformed impurity crystals are calculated. The temperature coefficients of the phase transition shift are determined.  相似文献

The effect of a uniaxial mechanical compression (σm ≤ 100 bar) on the spectral dependences (300–800 nm) of the birefringence Δn i and refractive indices n i of K2SO4 crystals is studied. The electronic polarizabilities, refractions, and parameters (λ0i , B 1i ) of ultraviolet oscillators of mechanically compressed crystals are calculated. It is shown that the dispersions of Δn i(λ) and n i(λ) are normal and sharply increase near the absorption edge. It is found that the uniaxial compression changes the value of the dispersions dΔn i/dλ and dn i/dλ rather than their character. It is ascertained that the simultaneous action of the compressions σx and σz, as well as of σy and σz, leads to the appearance of new isotropic states in the K2SO4 crystal, which manifests itself in the equality of corresponding birefringences. It is shown that the baric dependences n i(σ) are determined by the change in the density of oscillators (~30%), by the shift of the absorption edge and effective band maximum and by the change in the oscillator strength (~70%).  相似文献

The spectral and baric dependences of the birefringence of α-LiNH4SO4 crystals are studied. It is found that the birefringence is rather sensitive to uniaxial compressions. A baric shift of the isotropic point to longer or shorter wavelengths depending on the uniaxial compression direction is observed and a generalized temperature-spectral-baric diagram of the isotropic state is plotted. A possibility of the appearance of a pseudoisotropic state under the action of uniaxial pressure σ z or simultaneous pressures σ x = σ z is shown.  相似文献

The temperature and spectral dependences of the coefficients R i2* of the quadratic electro-optic effect (EOE) in triglycine sulphate crystals with 5% L-threonine admixture have been calculated using the temperature and spectral dependences of the refractive indices n i . It is established that the coefficients R i2* of the admixture-containing triglycine sulphate crystals exhibit weak spectral and temperature dependences. In the polar direction, R i2* are substantially different from the coefficients of admixture-free triglycine sulphate crystals. This indicates the occurrence of a bias field, the predominant orientation of the dipole moment of the polar defect, and a decrease in the spontaneous polarization in admixture-containing crystals.  相似文献

The influence of uniaxial pressures applied along the principal crystallographic directions on the dispersion and temperature dependences of the birefringence of potassium-sulfate crystals K2SO4 has been investigated. It has been found that the birefringence is quite sensitive to uniaxial pressures. The behavior of isotropic points has been analyzed, and temperature-spectral-baric diagrams of the isotropic state of the K2SO4 crystals have been constructed.  相似文献
