The polar ionosphere at Zhongshan station on May 11, 1999, the day the solar wind almost disappeared

The solar wind almost disappeared on May 11, 1999: the solar wind plasma density and dynamic pressure were less than 1cm⁻³ and 0.1 nPa respectively, while the interplanetary magnetic field was northward. The polar ionospheric data observed by the multi-instruments at Zhongshan Station in Antarctica on such special event day was compared with those of the control day (May 14). It was shown that geomagnetic activity was very quiet on May 11 at Zhongshan. The magnetic pulsation, which usually occurred at about magnetic noon, did not appear. The ionosphere was steady and stratified, and the F₂ layer spread very little. The critical frequency of day-side F₂ layer, f₀F₂, was larger than that of control day, and the peak of f₀F₂ appeared 2 hours earlier. The ionospheric drift velocity was less than usual. There were intensive auroral E_s appearing at magnetic noon. All this indicates that the polar ionosphere was extremely quiet and geomagnetic field was much more dipolar on May 11. There were some signatures of auroral substorm before midnight, such as the negative deviation of the geomagnetic H component, accompanied with auroral E_s and weak Pc3 pulsation.

热塑性IPN研究进展及相结构理论

本文着重介绍热塑性ＩＰＮ的研究进展和有关ＩＰＮ的相结构理论。     

Laser-induced-fluorescence imaging of NO in an n-heptane- and diesel-fuel-driven diesel engine

Continuous on-line imaging by 2D-LIF techniques of in-cylinder NO distributions in a running Diesel engine is explored using an ArF-excimer laser at 193 nm operating at low power. For the first time NO excitation spectra could be measured as a result of high optical transparencies during measurements over longer periods of time. The averaged distributions show different combustion behaviour of both fuels proving the potential of the 2D-LIF technique in application to non-intrusive combustion diagnostics in a steady running Diesel engine.

苯乙烯－丁二烯－苯乙烯／聚（苯乙烯－甲基丙烯酸盐）热塑性互穿聚合物网络的形态和玻璃化转变

使用化学共混法和机械共混法制备了三嵌段苯乙烯－丁二烯－苯乙烯共聚物（ＳＢＳ）／聚（苯乙烯－甲基丙烯酸盐）热塑性互穿聚合物网络（ＩＰＮ）．用透射电镜和动态力学方法研究了它们的形态和玻璃化转变行为．实验结果显示出，由母体形成ＩＰＮ提高了体系的相容性，且化学共混方法明显好于机械共混法．ＩＰＮ样品均呈微观相分离形态，具有两个分属于聚丁二烯相和聚（苯乙烯－甲基丙烯酸盐）相的玻璃化转变温度．通过Ｂｕｄｉａｎｓｋｙ方程和Ｋｅｒｎｅｒ方程对动态模量数据的分析表明，ＩＰＮ样品具有两相连续性，且随ＳＢＳ（聚合物Ⅰ）组分含量的增加，聚（苯乙烯－甲基丙烯酸）（聚合物Ⅱ）的连续程度降低

SYNTHESIS OF MBS RESIN BASED ON MOLECULE DESIGN

The relationships between the properties of PVC-MBS polyblend and of the MBS multiphase structure and between the MBS structure and polymerization parameters are studied theoretically and experimentally. MBS resin synthesized from the molecule design principle is suitable to prepare PVC-MBS polyblend with good transparency and high impact strength.
