Barium complexes ligated by bulky boryloxides [OBR2] (where R=CH(SiMe3)2, 2,4,6-iPr3-C6H2 or 2,4,6-(CF3)3-C6H2), siloxide [OSi(SiMe3)3], and/or phenoxide [O-2,6-Ph2-C6H3], have been prepared. A diversity of coordination patterns is observed in the solid state for both homoleptic and heteroleptic complexes, with coordination numbers ranging between 2 and 4. The identity of the bridging ligand in heteroleptic dimers [Ba(μ2-X1)(X2)]2 depends largely on the given pair of ligands X1 and X2. Experimentally, the propensity to fill the bridging position increases according to [OB{CH(SiMe3)2}2)]<[N(SiMe3)2]<[OSi(SiMe3)3]<[O(2,6-Ph2-C6H3)]<[OB(2,4,6-iPr3-C6H2)2]. This trend is the overall expression of 3 properties: steric constraints, electronic density and σ- and π-donating capability of the negatively charged atom, and ability to generate Ba ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ F, Ba ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ C(π) or Ba ⋅ ⋅ ⋅ H−C secondary interactions. The comparison of the structural motifs in the complexes [Ae{μ2-N(SiMe3)2}(OB{CH(SiMe3)2}2)]2 (Ae = Mg, Ca, Sr and Ba) suggest that these observations may be extended to all alkaline earths. DFT calculations highlight the largely prevailing ionic character of ligand-Ae bonding in all compounds. The ionic character of the Ae-ligand bond encourages bridging coordination, whereas the number of bridging ligands is controlled by steric factors. DFT computations also indicate that in [Ba(μ2-X1)(X2)]2 heteroleptic dimers, ligand predilection for bridging vs. terminal positions is dictated by the ability to establish secondary interactions between the metals and the ligands.  相似文献

Many peptides self‐assemble to form amyloid fibrils. We previously explored the sequence propensity to form amyloid using variants of a designed peptide with sequence KFFEAAAKKFFE. These variant peptides form highly stable amyloid fibrils with varied lateral assembly and are ideal to template further assembly of non‐proteinaceous material. Herein, we show that the fibrils formed by peptide variants can be coated with a layer of silica to produce silica nanowires using tetraethyl‐orthosilicate. The resulting nanowires were characterized using electron microscopy (TEM), X‐ray fiber diffraction, FTIR and cross‐section EM to reveal a nanostructure with peptidic core. Lysine residues play a role in templating the formation of silica on the fibril surface and, using this library of peptides, we have explored the contributions of lysine as well as arginine to silica templating, and find that sequence plays an important role in determining the physical nature and structure of the resulting nanowires.  相似文献

In this paper, we present a formulation for coupling discrete and continuum models for both dynamic and static analyses. This kind of formulation offers the possibility of carrying out better simulations of material properties than the discrete calculations, and with both larger length scales and longer times. Using only a discrete approach to simulate a large medium composed of many degrees of freedom seems very difficult in terms of calculation and implementation. Moreover, using only a continuum approach does not give an accurate solution in a zone where particular and localized phenomena can occur. A direct application of our coupling approach to the case of railway track models subjected to an external load, is proposed for its validation.  相似文献

The essential oil component α-pinene has multiple biological activities. However, its application is limited owing to its volatility, low aqueous solubility, and chemical instability. For the aim of improving its physicochemical properties, α-pinene was encapsulated in conventional liposomes (CLs) and drug-in-cyclodextrin-in-liposomes (DCLs). Hydroxypropyl-β-cyclodextrin/α-pinene (HP-β-CD/α-pinene) inclusion complexes were prepared in aqueous solution, and the optimal solubilization of α-pinene occurred at HP-β-CD:α-pinene molar ratio of 7.5:1. The ethanol-injection method was applied to produce different formulations using saturated (Phospholipon 90H) or unsaturated (Lipoid S100) phospholipids in combination with cholesterol. The size, the phospholipid and cholesterol incorporation rates, the encapsulation efficiency (EE), and the loading rate (LR) of α-pinene were determined, and the storage stability of liposomes was assessed. The results showed that α-pinene was efficiently entrapped in CLs and DCLs with high EE values. Moreover, Lipoid S100 CLs displayed the highest LR (22.9 ± 2.2%) of α-pinene compared to the other formulations. Both carrier systems HP-β-CD/α-pinene inclusion complex and Lipoid S100 CLs presented a gradual release of α-pinene. Furthermore, the DPPH radical scavenging activity of α-pinene was maintained upon encapsulation in Lipoid S100 CLs. Finally, it was found that all formulations were stable after three months of storage at 4 °C.  相似文献

Three new sesquiterpene-humulenes, (?)- asteriscunolides I (1), J (2) and (?)-(2Z,6E,9Z)-8-oxo-1α-acetoxy-2,6,9-humulatrien-12-oic acid (3) were isolated from the leaves-flowers of the Saharan medicinal plant Asteriscus graveolens along with six known compounds. The structures of the compounds were determined on the basis of spectroscopic mono and bidimensional NMR, mass spectrometry and by single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Compounds 13 were evaluated for cytotoxic assay, no significant activity was detected.  相似文献

A new enantiopure cyclometallated iridium complex bearing a [4]helicenic ‐coordinating and two ‐coordinating dfppy (2‐(2,4‐difluorophenyl)‐pyridyl) ligands was prepared. This complex displayed long‐lived phosphorescence both in solution and in the solid state. Its chiroptical properties, namely electronic circular dichroism and circularly polarized luminescence, were also examined. Comparison with former chiral complexes enabled assignment of the ΔIr‐(?) and ΛIr‐(+) absolute configurations.  相似文献

Using an ab initio method, the potential energy has been calculated for the 29 lowest molecular states of symmetries 2Σ+, 2Π, 2Δ for the molecular ion RbH+. The calculation is based on nonempirical pseudopotentials and parameterized ?‐dependent polarization potentials. Gaussian basis sets have been used for both atoms. The spectroscopic constants for 18 electronic sates have been calculated by fitting the calculated energy values to a polynomial in terms of the internuclear distance R. Through the canonical functions approach the eigenvalue Ev, the abscissas of the corresponding turning points (Rmin and Rmax) and the rotational constants Bv have been calculated up to 24 vibrational levels for the considered bound states.
