A rigid C2‐symmetric chiral bipyridine ligand Z‐bpy with a triptycene‐like backbone was designed and synthesized from simple chemicals in a scalable route. Using this new ligand, copper(I) catalyzed cyclopropanation of styrenes with commercial ethyl diazoacetate produced various corresponding cyclopropanes in high yields, diastereoselectivity and enantioselectivity up to 97% ee. 相似文献

[reaction: see text] A new method is presented for the measurement of enantiomeric excess (ee) utilizing molecularly imprinted polymers (MIPs). The method is demonstrated to be accurate and rapid, as the ee values can be calculated from straightforward concentration measurements. A new well test model for a vertical fractured well is developed based on a discrete-fracture model in which the fractures are discretized as one dimensional (1-D) entities. The model overcomes the weakness of complex meshing, a large number of grids, and instability in conventional stripe-fracture models. Then, the discrete-fracture model is implemented using a hybrid element finite-element method. Triangular elements are used for matrix and line elements for the fractures. The finite element formulation is validated by comparing with the semi-analytical solution of a single ver-tical fractured well. The accuracy of the approach is shown through several examples with different fracture apertures, fracture conductivity, and fracture amount. Results from the discrete-fracture model agree reasonably well with the stripe-fracture model and the analytic solutions. The advantages of the discrete-fracture model are presented in mesh gen-eration, computational improvement, and abilities to handle complex fractures like wedge-shaped fractures and fractures with branches. Analytical results show that the number of grids in the discrete-fracture model is 10%less than stripe-fracture model, and computational efficiency increases by about 50%. Catalytic carbene-transfer reactions constitute a class of highly useful transformations in organic synthesis. Although catalysts based on a range of transition-metals have been reported, the readily accessible nickel(II)-based complexes have been rarely used. Herein, an air-stable nickel(II)-carborane complex is reported as a well-defined, versatile and recyclable catalyst for selective carbene transfer reactions with low catalyst loading under mild conditions. This catalyst is effective for several types of reactions including diastereoselective cyclopropanation, epoxidation, selective X−H insertions (X = C, N, O, S, Si), particularly for the unprotected substrates. This represents a rare example of carborane ligands in base metal catalysis. 相似文献

Al–B–Si composite pillared clay was first prepared and its catalytic cracking properties for gas oil were investigated. Characterization techniques included XRD, BET and IR spectroscopy of pyridine adsorbed. It is shown by the results that the introduction of Si enhanced the catalytic activity and gasoline yield on pillared clay. Al–B–Si composite pillared clay was a better catalyst material.

Here the authors designed and synthesized three branched thiophene polymers with different effective conjugation lengths of thiophene groups, pTPBT, pTPTT, and pTPQT, mainly based on bithiophene, trithiophene, and quadruple thiophene. The electrochemical curves and theoretical calculation results reflect that the oxidation potential of polymers decreased gradually as the conjugation lengths of thiophene groups increased, which is favorable for the appearance of electrochromism. Electrochromic properties demonstrate that pTBTT displays no electrochromism, pTPTT exhibits an unstable one, while pTPQT shows an obvious stable electrochromism between yellow‐orange and blue‐violet colors. These results indicate that thiophene polymers with effective electrochromism should be the smallest conjugation length of quadruple thiophene at least. © 2019 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. J. Polym. Adaptive data analysis provides an important tool in extracting hidden physical information from multiscale data that arise from various applications. In this paper, we review two data-driven time-frequency analysis methods that we introduced recently to study trend and instantaneous frequency of nonlinear and nonstationary data. These methods are inspired by the empirical mode decomposition method (EMD) and the recently developed compressed (compressive) sensing theory. The main idea is to look for the sparsest representation of multiscale data within the largest possible dictionary consisting of intrinsic mode functions of the form {a(t) cos(θ(t))}, where a is assumed to be less oscillatory than cos(θ(t)) and θ′ ? 0. This problem can be formulated as a nonlinear l 0 optimization problem. We have proposed two methods to solve this nonlinear optimization problem. The first one is based on nonlinear basis pursuit and the second one is based on nonlinear matching pursuit. Convergence analysis has been carried out for the nonlinear matching pursuit method. Some numerical experiments are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed methods. 相似文献
